I dub this thread Sir Tain for it certainly will be entertaining.

Now we were having a pie and snow ball fight. I believe that to be worthy. Carry on.

It's like knight and day in here.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes

That is possibly the worse insult ever! I mean I am all for crazy... but even the people in the nut house steer clear of him.

Idon't know. I will have to badger and berate the party commity for this shocking oversight. It's the social faux pas of the season!

It was a fun time of course. Serenity on the big screen. Auctions, and door prizes, and swag. They didn't have any kind of hot cheese though. They had a digital projector going so after the movie they put up Out of Gas and Objects in Space. I didn't get home until, like, 2:30.

Oh, the swag.

I got it together to go to the preshow shindig this year and along with the buffet table they were giving out little take out boxes of stuff. Two sets of short chopsticks, a pair of blue gloves (So, I now have the least expensive item for a Hands of Blue costume. ) a deck of hand drawn cards featuring characters and episodes with rules for Go Fish and a game they call, "The Old Smuggler", a finger puzzle, a bracelet with Chinese characters inscribed on the beads, two tiny dinosaurs and a monster finger puppet (Grrr, Arg!) and a fortune cookie. ("You never hesitate to tackle the most difficult problems.")

edit: Also a strawberry candle. How could I forget the candle?!?

I also purchased a Jayne Hat, a sartorial choice I have heretofor criminally lacked and two trading cards: Wash from Serenity and Inara from Firefly, signed by Alan and Morena respecively. At least I assume the Wash card was signed by Tudyk but with handwriting like his it's hard to tell. Can anybody confirm that acting is just a hobby for him and that he's actually a doctor of some sort? I had put in a bid for a smallish cast photo signed by almost everybody but I got easily outbid. Sadly my money tree has been suffering a bit from the blight in the past few years.

Anyway a blast was had. Maybe next year I'll actually get my Wash costume together. Though truth be told it was a bit hot yesterday to be schlepping around mass transit in a flight suit plus sweater vest plus Hawaiian shirt getup. I hope we made lots of money for Equality Now and The House of the Good Shepherd.

Sounds like a was had by all.

So here's the next big discussion question for this illustrious thread...

Is it still a hidey thread if the majority of the people are no longer hiding and instead two monstrous geeks are just carrying on random conversation?

Your Majesty Daveshayne, will you honour me with a reply as you are my favourite king in this thread?!

P.S. Oh Mighty King... if you need help with a Wash costume I have a shirt and flight suit. Of course it's a Kaylee suit, but if you hide the bear and the gunshot hole it could be converted!

Dunno about you but the majority of me is certainly still hiding.

Unless it's for a significantly taller than usual Kaylee it could be a might tight. Especially where it counts. Thank you, my loyal subject, for the offer nonetheless. No, I just have to get my royal person off the royal throne and go searching for a suitably royal suit/shirt/vest combo.
