The mere threat of a filibuster has had the wimpy Dems cow-tow; utilizing rules of Congress to stop other things dead in their tracks has done so; and the fact that the Dems weren’t able to “herd their cats” to overcome the filibuster threat, and now are even less able to without 60, has obstructed far more than it’s allowed to pass. As to the 9/11 responders, Obama hasn’t “deserted” them at all. I repeat: IT WAS THE REPUBLICANS WHO STOPPED THE BILL, exclusively, so it is THEY who have abandoned the 9/11 responders and you know it perfectly well. They could EASILY have voted for the funding; they refused because they couldn’t tack on any amendments. Just to refresh your memory:Quote:
