Both were excellent Mings. It was so retro seeing the 1981 film. I understand the SyFy network went a different path and their Flash Gordon did not last long.

I tried to watch that mess, but couldn't.
The '81 flick was far superiour, but not all it could have been; Crabbe still officially owns the role.

It is the piece of work most people remember about Crabbe and he was not paid a dime for.

Those early Science Fiction films are a blast. I still get a kick out of the sparklers used as exhaust from the rocket engines.
