Hey everyone. This is my first post here in this great community, so Howdy.
---

I was watching some Season Four Buffy reruns and I'm going to assume that pretty much all of your have seen this season.

I like to think that Joss might tie in the Buffyverse with this Firefly universe. I highly doubt we'll be seeing demons anytime soon, but that's not what I was going for. My question is:

What if the lab that was operating on River was the Initiative? Now, before you say 'you're crazy' lemme explain. In Angel, we saw the U.S. goverment developing this branch in the late 1930's/1940s, so what's to say they didn't expand it into the outer reaches of space? It would make total sense, while watching Maggie Walsh on the show.

Yes, I might be crazy, but I thought it my be a cool idea.

And Kaylee's last name sounds too much like Melaka Fray's last name for comfort.

It would be good to think that Whedon could be allowed to move on as an artist.

True enough. I just thought it would be kind of cool to see something like it in the series.

funny you should mention it. we just watched the ep in buffy season one with the invisible girl (out of sight, out of mind) and wondered why they didn't mention it again with the whole initiative story. would have been wacky fun to tie it all together.

P.S. Welcome!!!

If the Initiatives are out in space, would Reavers be Vampires? I ask myself these questions. If they doctored River up, what exactly were they getting at achieving? (OT: And why can't the Blue Hands bleed from that darn blue contraction that they used on everybody?)

But maybe it's totally irrevelant to the Buffy 'verse.

Yes, you're probably right, but I find it fun to think of ways that it could be tied into the Buffy-verse.

Reavers as Vampires? Ooh, didn't think of that. And yes! Why don't our blue hand guys bleed from that little stick?!

I was thinking today that Jayne would make an excellent Assistant Vengeance Demon if Inara got mad enough to summon Anyanka.

Yeah and maybe that'll mazke him even more sexier than he already is.

I can't wait to see the movie. It just might answer all our questions...I just hope it won't create more.

I think the blue handed guys don't bleed from the weapons they're using because it seems like they might be ultra high pitched sound waves concentrated in one single direction.

that would be cool, Joss wouldn't do that but it would be cool. Or The initiative really didn't work for the U.S. government but for the Blue Sun corporation..

"lets go to work"
