I started an Eldar army and they changed the rules and the size of units. I tired of that. So my army has not been used in years. Most of the historical gaming is gone around here. Just a few of us left.

Well, that was a big part of it, Traveller, them constantly changing, often breaking, the game to try to sell you more crap - to which my response was to stick with the original rules and by-unit points cost and screw their charts and tables, if I am playin a pack of imperial defectors and renegades why the hell would *I* care about imperial organisations anyway, right ?

To which, and also in part for not using their crummyass paints, they yank my preferred customer status, and after dishing out a HUMILIATING defeat to their fair-haired company boy (cause I was the only one with an army even close to the size of his for-free one) they blacklisted me entire.

But more than all of that was their downright creepy cult-like mentality about it, seriously, the company reps and their pets were freakin scary, you'd think they believed their corpse emporer was real and in charge of the company or something - as of late since their own biz practices have tanked em, they've gotten lawsuit-happy too, which is even more wiggy.

But.. at least the Confederate States of America aren't likely to bitch at me too much for infringing on their copyright or taking historical liberties, that's a plus, innit ?

Favorite moment of that, union forces passing a seemingly abandoned plantaition home, and catching a full-flank barrage of cannister and getting run down by the cavalry coming over the hill behind it as they scattered in terror.
