Assignment over, have to find the kitchen in a minute and my mp3 player has gone missing but I has posted it and have a month to my next deadline, time to get on top of things again!
Hey all,
*runs laps round the bar*
can you tell I'm a bit happy?
*juggles geese*
I really ought to try sushi again, haven't had any since I was in Hong Kong and I was like eight so have no idea if I like it or not but the idea sounds tasty!
Hurrah for disappearing evil temp job! (taking cue from Avery)
Hurrah for cute children!
I'm not buying NVG cowering from Navy, sorry, unless there's some weird ninja, jedi mind trick going on but I don't think so.

Pink eye (conjunctivitis) is not a one-time shot. You can get it lots and lots of times and is very contagious, like a cold or the flu. WASH YOUR HANDS.
No I don't have pink eye, small comfort.
I've got a clogged tear duct or something that's been blocked since early November and I've been hot packing it lately since the antibiotic they gave me back then didn't work and I'm a nurse so I ignore my problems and hope my body will fix itself since it's hard to get in to see your doctor when you work the same hours they do. So now it oozes, but it's looking a little better. I'm going to wake up with my eye welded shut from crustys one of these mornings though...

So any plans for the weekend? Apart from vast quantities of FF XIII for some...
It's Mother's day on Sunday so off visiting our folks Sat and Sun whilst trying to fit in a bunch of maths for myself at the same time.
Ah well, work time I guess.

Group of us are going to the Breaking Benjamin concert on Monday night and then crashing at my place after. I'm so excited!!! Sorry, I'm sure all my friends are sick of hearing me go on 'bout it. I may have been plastering it all over Facebook... >.>

I totally think the men of FFF should put on a full monty show!
We could raise money for dragon*con '11
Roxy, I'd post it everywhere too!! I'm jealous x500 of you! (I say that every time you say your thing :o)
I don't really have any plans for the weekend. There's brunch at my favorite diner with the best friend then I guess a few of us are going to see Alice.
WOO!!!

well, I can't indulge myself too much as I have a ton of work to do this weekend but I just wanted to share my smug mode moment with you all, just got my first assignment of new course back and got 96%.
I also apparently have massive bonus points having purchased complete ER for other half as early b'day present as on offer.
A weekend of maths and thanking moms await...
oh, I don't dance so I hardly think I'm stripping but everytime the full monty is mention I think of two scenes:
1. It's like the arsenal offside trap, Adams puts his hand in the air and we all step up as a line. Might have more resonance to us football followers
2. dancing inappropriately in the doll queue.
night all...

I'm cleaning.
And spending time with boychild.
(We watched the first night of "The Color of Magic" tonight. Pterry makes two appearances that I know of.)

BUMP!!
Watched the second night last night. He liked it. Now he's reading "Rincewind The Wizard" which also contains Mort and Eric. I have finally managed to get him to read a little Pratchett! I'll hand him The Bromeliad again after he's done. He read the Johnny Maxwell book(s) and liked them well enough. I now have him engaged with Discworld. His eyebrow came up when I mentioned there were over 30 books in the series.
He wanted me to read to him last night. (It's been quite some time since I heard that request, I think he just wanted some time smooshed up in a chair next to the mom unit.) I read out loud and he bleeped the naughty words. He even bleeped "idiot", and I had to explain that technically that one didn't need bleeping but so far as I'm concerned he can consider it a bad word as it is an insult. (Admittedly, I didn't remember there being so much cussin'...)

So any exciting plans for the week? Yes Roxy we know all about your concert tonight! XD <.<
>.>
I have to take Daughter the Brave to Devos Childrens Hospital on Friday morning at 9 (a 2+ hour drive from the house) so I get to take the day off and still get up early (and earlier than normal) I boo this! Although we are gonna hit a few museums and what not afterwards so hopefully it will make up for teh lack of sleep and the 5-ish hours of driving for the day.

Sir Daughter the Brave is fine. She has some things going on with her stomach that the Docs want looked into. Of course the closest Pediatric Gastral-entro-gabblybobbly Doc is there so we have to go.
On a side note. Old Man Winter can kiss my ass! Took my fat self and the pudgy doggie out for a jog yesterday and am feeling kinda OW atm. Damn winter and the lack of out door activities due to snow! XD
How was the concert Roxy?
NOTIFY: Y | REPLY | REPLY WITH QUOTE | PERMALINK | TOP | HOME
I'm so sorry, Kel. Poor darlin', I know how she feels. I have pretty nasty probs with my stomach too. Hopefully she won't have to go through all the tests I did. She's in my thoughts.
And I yay this beautiful weather! Thinking of going for a walk today with the hubby since he took the day off.
OMG... the concert was incredible! Even the opening bands were pretty decent. We got right to the front and I got really great pics. The moshing wasn't too bad, we were pretty well protected. Didn't even get injured this time, lol! I did get a friggin' beer bath cuz some guy ran into me with a full glass of beer and then smiled and offered to towel me off. Perv. Breaking Benjamin was just amazing! I have no voice due to singing all the songs at the top of my lungs. Also my hubby caught a guitar pick and a drum stick from the band. So stoked 'bout that! We all had a blast. So glad my peeps went with us. That was the kinda awesome night I really needed.

Your husband must crap horseshoes and eat rabbit's feet. He's about the luckiest guy ever when it comes to band stuff. Always winning competitions and catching the stuff. Can I borrow him next time Metallica swing by my town?

And yes, you may borrow him for your Metallica needs.

evening all,
sorry to hear of stomach stuff Kel, can speak from personal experience that it's no fun whatever, nursing ibs right now due to lack of sleep last night.
sneaking in a little maths before bed
jealous of the gig Roxy but the good news is my band are really getting very close to gigging, polishing last coupld of songs and I'm working out where/what I'm meant to be singing whilst hitting things rhythmically which can be a challenge.
Navy does seem to have a way with words
I had good weekend but need a... not sure what but something!

Another reminder of my Geekness.
Today I was in class working with Word 2007 (I have.... a much older version)
There is a feature on it that will cite for you! All you do is plug in the author, title, year and publisher and it will cite for you. Not only that but it remembers your citations and builds your bibliography for you!!
I thought this was the most awesome feature ever and I wish it was around back when I was writing a million papers in college.
I finally got my brunch! An omelet with salsa, a side of home fries, bacon and toast! (of course).
and now I am going to try and burn it all off.
Good day today!
