Er, I dunno. I didn't really notice until y'all mentioned it; I thought the most distracting thing was the large, out-of-focus metal rod in the foreground, but I got past that fairly quickly, too. I suppose It Just Doesn't Bug Me, can't say how or why. Except, you know, Alan is just ridiculously hot.

So anyway, Alan is teh hotness it is indisputable. DESPITE the shirt/tie combo. He actually makes that look good, but it distracts and detracts. Maybe Rose just mentally undresses him fast enough that she doesn't see it after a microsecond?
I also love that he credits Monty Python as one of the gread British contributions to the world. (Nothing like a good self-reference!)

I can see the hotness (which is strongly magnified by the evil) once that tie and shirt are gone....hey ADD here I tend to focus on the wildly irrelevant
