Walks in on Monday morning and gets a wonderful idea.
"Mmmm... mimosas..."
(I'm really waiting for the coffee maker to advance far enough in the process that I can pour a cup and replace the pot.)

*notices that the champagne has gone flat and cleans up brunch area* [EDIT: leaves the champagne out for SR if she wants to use it for mimosas, but places the bottle in a container of ice and salt water to make sure the champagne is re-chilled nicely]
Had the annual secret santa party with friends (I was in charge of the gift coordination). I baked my first ham for the whole group. If I knew how hard it is to make a ham for a dozen people before...I'd have been making it sooner.

Also...realized the same thing for those felt coffee cozies...
guess what might be showing up in folk's holiday cards next year.
*looks at calendar* It can't be nearly the Christmas....I still have everybody's card and gifts to mail out...
Think anyone'll be upset with Christmas cards and gifts showing up after Christmas?

Hmmmm, well I do, so mayhaps I will. I really appreciate the advising, Kitten, thank you ^_^ I think I can take a more informed look at my options, now. So lucky to know all teh smart peoples doing all teh jobs.
I would have thanked you sooner, but this is my first day off since three people quit, and this only because I insisted I would not work on my birthday. I so need a better job with fewer people who will walk out at the drop of a hat. Is there a career track for that?

An exception is if you were to go for a pure mathematics degree. There is a beauty and art to pure mathematics that you don't really even begin to play with in engineering courses.
Now that's a thought. My grandpa was a pure mathematics guy who ended up in engineering, his physics degree being useful for the calculations of what a rocket needed to do. Course things were just a teeny bit different 60+ years ago, and it probably would have worked out very differently for him today.
Well, I'm going to finish up the graphic design thing and then see what my options may be. I might just end up liking the field I'm currently degreeing for XD And hey, since I was the only person in my layout class (including teacher) who knew what a golden rectangle was and how it was utilized in layouts, maybe I'll do okay.

coffee cozies??!?! please enlighten.
Almost Christmas ^_^ and we totally got a blizzard here over the weekend. It was pretty crazy. I should have taken a picture of the entire front of my car being missing, as it was buried up to the roof from the windshield forward XD yay for high winds and snow drifts

MsA: *giggle* Yeah. I be love-ed by one of the get-together's hosts (he loves ham...especially soaked in teh juices) and probably a few others (pre-glazed spiral ham with an extra handful of brown sugar rubbed in and baked -- who knew? Not I.)
*blinks* Half a mimosa?
You can have as much as you want if you're only going to drink half of a mimosa even while feeding baby. (I didn't think that drinking OJ is bad for baby...
*ducks flying object*)
FLT: erm...whatever they call teh thingy that people use 'round their paper coffee cups from the various coffee shops (like Seattle's Best, etc.) Made nearly a dozen to give out as favors -- and most people first thought they were a felt bracelet or armband or something...
*ponder* Maybe for the next set, I'll give 'em out with a paper coffee cup filled with treats...

MsA:
meant a virgin mimosa (teh OJ half only)...unless you or lil'John has the rare ability to turn OJ into alcohol naturally.
*leaves Hershey's hugs and kisses in the bar bowls*

But teh alkoholz maeks tehm sleepz sooo gooood...
I had an ...interesting... day at work. I'm having a large glass of wine and reminding myself that I'm getting paid to be there and it's not permanent. Despite a doctor and some others asking me to please stay. (OHnononononoes!)
Wine! More wine, and escapist fantasy visual distraction!
(Hops behind the bar and sets up a round of car bombs, a biiiig mango smoothie, plus Teh Dew, Bawls, a perfectly made martini, truly amazing cocoa, a line of Jameson's in wee glasses, Frozen Daquiri in a rainbow of flavors, and Navel Sex On The Fuzzy Beach (You figure out the recipe!).
