Why does everybody at Fox News call Palin by her first name?

Prob'ly because she's in their pocket. They can't call her Governor Palin, 'cuz everybody would correct them to " EX- Governor Palin."
Personally, I'm in favor of calling her " The Moose Whacker."

Now there's a title for a History book:
"From the Bull Moose to the Moose Whacker, a History of the Republican Party From Roosevelt to Palin."

I meant I don't see a problem with calling her Sarah. You all know that it takes me a very long time to make character judgments on anyone, I've still not made one on Obama who I've been following for 5 years, but I don't care for the policies, I still don't know whether to blame Obama or Clinton for them.

It's *way* too early to cast any judgment on President Sarah, or even speculate, but I wasn't talking about the concept, only the use of the name Sarah. I didn't think it was out of line.

Just for fun, I went to the Fox News site and searched videos for the keyword "Sarah". The first four I looked at, all the commentators refered to either "Governor Palin" or "Sarah Palin". So it doesn't look that common for them to use just her first name.

Its not common. "Governor Palin" is used most often when talking to her, Sarah Palin is used most often when talking about her.

This whole thread is just crazytalk. Do some people call her Sarah? yes. Is it common? no. Do they call her 'ex-governor Palin' or something similar? sometimes, but not often because people are often referred to by their former titles as a gesture of respect. Its not uncommone to hear people talking to or about Governors Huckabee and Romney, Ambassador Keyes, Presidents Clinton, Bush, Bush, and Carter, etc.

DT, I never said what you wrote was "out of line". I just disagreed with it.

And yes, I don't watch Faux News but I'd bet you're right, Geezer, that how they refer to her encompasses all those titles, and Sarah as well. And I agree, "Governor" would probably be used as well, as the same courtesy title other are given. It's a moot point; the WAY they talk about her (the messiah almost) offense me more, in the video clips I've seen.

Did anyone see the clip of her parents when they were interviewed during the campaign? In a room filled with fur rugs, the head of everything conceivable crowding the walls...made me sick, and showed me where she got THAT mentality!

Ah, I found a photo...it was titled "Sarah Palin; Parents and Corpses". Yup, about says it all in that respect!

As to Fox Noise: They're pushing her because she forwards their agenda, and their agenda makes them money. Pure and simple. To me.

You immediately bought into the "Fox always refers to Sarah Palin as 'Sarah'" thing. Didn't check at all. So you probably don't watch Fox News much. But you then decide that they talk about her like a messiah. Is your source for this as reliable as the 'Always call her Sarah' one? Or are you just buying into the propaganda? Again?

Weren't you the one who once claimed that Huffington Post lies and shows a clear bias?

I take it from that statement that you read an awful lot of Huffington Post, so you have a wealth of experience upon which to base your assumptions.

Didn't say anyone said anyone was out of line, but I wasn't referring to myself. I meant FOX's use of "Sarah" is probably not out of line. If the left had objected to the use of "Hillary" they would have more credibility on this issue, which is also not personal. I think this is a pretty dead issue. I just analyzed it in a redneck way, and don't really care anyway, so, moving on. Just my two cents.
