As electrifying as Enter The Dragon was, and as amazing as Drunken Master II was, I have to go with Forbidden Kingdom.
It was lyrical & beautiful, if a bit limited by the PG-13 nature of the content.

Hmm...hard to pick.
I'm kinda torn between 'Drunken Master' and Zhang Yimou's 'Hero'. If I had to choose, tho', it would be 'Hero'.

By the way, I picked this up on dvd months ago on your recommendation, and really enjoyed it. It's like a throwback to those early 70's Kung Fu flicks (ancient time, anything goes storylines, fantastic stuntwork} with modern dazzling effects. I wonder if it's available in Blu-Ray?

I would say that Hero is the best looking martial arts film around, but as for the best overall that is a harder pick.
Forbidden Kingdom is great and I thank you CIA for recommending that film to me many moons ago, but I'd have to go with Enter The Dragon as it has that classic status and it is a Bruce Lee film. Others may follow but he is still the best.

Quote:ETD was the best show of Lee's abilities, a solid choice. However, for sheer acting, Fist Of Fury (AKA Chinese Connection) blows me away. Lee's Chen is such a wildman. Whoah.
