Jet Li's "Fearless". Although stories with a moral usually just annoy me.

Cannot stand Jet Li, and Hero irritated me sooo much that I thought I was having an aneurysm, my headache was so bad. Same with The One.

I loved Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 'cause I was a fan of Chow Yun Fat's since Hard Boiled & The Killer. (And also I was hot for Zhang Ziyi)

Oh, and I really love the Transporter films!

As for all-time favorite, I'd have to say all of Jackie Chan's up to The Tuxedo. Everything past that has sucked, because you can tell he started using wires when he got to a certain age.

This Parkour thing is pretty insane — I can't imagine how these guys do it without regularly falling to their deaths!

It's always seemed to me that these moves were inspired by Jackie Chan's acrobatics.

But I was really impressed with District B13...

and there's a sequel coming out...

Hmmm. I enjoyed Banlieue 13/District B13, but I don't think I ever considered it a Martial Arts movie (I guess I was too fixated on it's portrayal of parkour).
David Belle was awesome in it, tho'.

As for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: at the time I first saw it, when I was new to chinese martial arts, I really enjoyed it. I dunno now, tho'. I mean, I'd still recommend that folks see it, at least once, if they're interested in the Wuxia genre, but...I dunno. Maybe I watched it one too many times.

edit: thanks for the heads-up on the B13 sequel. That and I love watching that commercial every now and again. David Belle is great!

Well, that wire stuff doesn't make Forbidden Kingdom a bad movie, just less awesome from a stunt perspective IMO. In terms of choreography, it's still amazing.

I just watched the extras on Forbidden Kingdom, and I hafta say, the wire work that "old & worn out" Jackie does in it is stuff I believe YOU or I would have SERIOUS problems doing even though we are younger than him.

Stretching the definition (slightly...)

Matrix (1)

If only that scene- eye-popping/jaw-dropping for it's time... with tributes, to boot.

Haven´t seen a "great" deal of martial arts films but of the ones I have seen, I do like Fearless a lot.

"Summer Glau can simply walk into Mordor.."

I hear if you liked Fearless, you'll love Ip Man.
