I'll beam in (see what I did there... :P) Er with an 8 out of 10 Star Trek ratings. That's in relation to Trek films. I found it really enjoyable and free from the confines that so regularly shackles the whole star trek universe.

You suck, Mike, you know I can't not answer! Damn you!

Oh, I *KNOW* you can't let it go by. That's why I asked. I wanted to indulge you. Besides, any reason for you to work in more Dark Angel isn't a bad thing. It wasn't MY favorite show, but I like that you loved it so much. Reminds me of the way I am about Buffy. :)

Oh, and earlier I said as a Trek film, I give it a 9. That's in relation to the Trek universe, of course. Khan gets about a 9.5 from me, but honestly, I think I'd rather watch the new Trek again rather than watch Khan again. Probably because I've only seen Khan about a hundred times, I suppose...

Compared to OTHER, NON-Trek movies, I still give the Abrams movie a solid 8.0; damn good, but not perfect. The casting gets a 10, though, no matter what you compare it to. I thought the cast was just perfect. And nice to see Captain Pike not in his washing machine! :)

I hadn't watched ST2, 3 or 4 in YEARS until the new releases just came out. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess.

Nemesis merely sucked.

I agree. I also think it could have been saved with a minor re-write & Stewart playing both Picard & Shinzon.

It didn't "just" suck - it defined suck for Trek. God, that film is a piece of shite.

Suddenly, "Bill's turn" doesn't look so bad, eh?

I'm not a fan of 5 either, but it is at least it's own film, rather than a desperate attempt to remake II with a script written by an overeager fanboy.

Possibly. I watched 2,3, and 4 recently. I've come to the conclusion that they are just really good films, Trek or otherwise.

They can't get old to me. The motion picture, while a little slower paced was also quite good.

I hope the sequel will have a bridge closer to the original series,(a little more colorful) and not so generic looking.

I was thinking the sequel should start with Kirk, Spock, and Bones in an away mission on an alien planet. That would be freaking awesome. I get chills just thinking about it.
