Why? I'd rather pee on the execs at FOX, they've done things to us.

Knowing you a bit, from these boards, that doesn't surprise me in the least. And I'm with ya on that one. We need a Christmas Truce again, all over the world, if only for one night...

I agree with both of you wholeheartedly, i mean we are all one race of people, HUMANS, and we should all be civil, even if only for one day out of the year. I mean an example, in World War 1, from xmas eve, to the day after xmas, the British, and their allies, had a day of feasting, and merry making with their enemys the German's under the Kaiser's rule. For that one day, two bitter enemys, fighting across the nomans lands, set up tables in the middle of the battlefield, amidst all that death, and they eat, and sang, and praised for that one day. For one day, there was a peace in the world, and a respect among warriors, that we have lost some where between WW1, and now. So we should try everything in our power, for one whole day, to have a peace like that, if only we can try to.

Yup, that was the Christmas Truce. It was very much against the rules, and highly frowned on by the British military command, and not officially sanctioned by the Germans, either, if memory serves.

Hmmmmm, things I want to hmmmmm.
Does this include the bad things like burying certain in-law type peep-holes in my cellar?
Or finding the manager in the forty-seventh store you go to that is blasting crap like "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time" and the Jacksons "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and Simply Running Him Through a Wood Chipper...

Sorry, Christmas gives me heartburn, what with the being forced to buy gifts (when I hate!HATE !shopping) for people who consider me to be the scourge of the Seven Seas for not overdosing on their Christmassy Prozac and putting all my insecurities into placating THEM for yet another day of the year, ugggg, anybody know the shortest route to Tibet?
PS. my In-laws don't know HOW to call a truce!

Oh trust me, I have prolly more reason to hate xmas than anyone in the world, won't relate it cause it's mindbendingly depressing*, but yanno what does it for me ?
Collecting *very* warped parody tunes.
And believe me, I got some winners, I frighten people when I get in that mood...
As with most things, I believe in the spirit of it, but am horrified by our abysmal execution of it.

*Oh so seriously not kidding, if your curiosity is that friggin morbid though, I'll spoiler tag it, if I relate it at all.

This is a lot to chew on.....but I'm gonna try, gorram it!
Ok, just one Christmas Wish. Are you sure? Just one.
Well, let me see:
1- There's the usual dysfunctional drama parade going on within the family unit; people should really act their age and stop frettin' over shit that happen 20 years ago.
B- There's the Firefly 7 Season thing; if wishes were horses we'd all be eating.....well, you know.
Just imagine the other quotable gems we would get from Jayne - SIGH!
and 3- World peace for one day.
Hmmm, what to do?
Okay, I'm going with Number 3, because there's far too much greed and such in the world and it should take a back seat for once and allow Humans to be free. Truly Free, for just one day.
Shiny!
