The USA Still Exists. Does the utter failure of your predictions concern you, PN?

Hello,

I have often been perplexed by some of my Christian bretheren, who seem to take a very schizophrenic view of the final days.

On the one hand, Revelations and other prophecies in the Bible are supposed to illustrate God's plan for the final days, including an Antichrist who seems to bring global peace and prosperity for a time, before the world goes to hash.

On the other hand, they are constantly warning against the Antichrist and the global system and advising people to fight against it.

It seems to me a good Christian wouldn't be fighting the prophecy, but rather enjoying each milestone and marking off his calendar and looking forward to the timely fulfillment of God's plan.

I personally have grave concerns about global government, but these mostly center on worries over personal freedom and sensitivity to my regional circumstances by those in charge. My concerns are not religious in nature.

I do believe in God, but I also believe that God will take good care of any prophecies and plans he has. Railing against them would almost feel seditious.

It's more than schizophrenic, IMHO. There's at least a third path in which the Christian bretheren do not seem content to let God do His work in His own time. Instead, they seek to actively make God give it a go extra early by plotting and scheming to bring the end days along on their own preferred timetable.
