My kind of Trekkie.

I hope there's enough of Simon Pegg and Karl Urban talking as well. They're my fave two actors/characters from the movie. Hopefully they won't be overshadowed by the US cast, although I'm interested in their take on things as well.

Getting closer....

Just saw Trek on sale at CVS- they're famous for breaking street-dates. But it's the single disk, and $24.99 to boot!!!
I'll wait two more days, thank you.

By the way, for all you Trekkies out there - and for just anyone who loves movies, really - here's a link to BestBuy's "Black Friday" sales ad that's been leaked and posted over at dealnews.com

http://dealnews.com/Best-Buy-Black-Friday-Ad.html?c=502

Look down toward the bottom of the page, second and third from the bottom:

Star Trek: Wrath of Khan, and Star Trek: The Voyage Home, on BluRay, for $8 each.

I'm SOOOOO there.

Also, Target's ad was leaked, too. Supernatural seasons for $13 each (but BestBuy has S4 on BluRay for $15), 2001: A Space Odyssey on BluRay for $9...

Looks like I'll have a busy day!

I'm excited for this one, but I'll have to wait for Santa to bring my copy.

I was excited about the new cast and what they'd do with the story. I like Trek, but was never an adamant fan. TNG, more thatn TOS, was my thing growing up.

At any rate, I loved the movie. Despite the flaws created by the time travel, it was fun and energetic. Something the Trek movies have needed for a long time. If you want the Trek movies to keep going without having to introduce a slew of new characters, then this was definately the way to go. And it was done exceedingly well, IMHO. Though I heard from more than one source (my cousin's husband, a retired Navy Lieutenant, among them) that Kirk's meteoric rise was far, far, FAR too quick for their taste . . . still . . . fun movie.

Having just finished watching it, I have to say...

HELL FREAKING YEAH!

I rented it on BluRay. I'll be buying it, definitely.

I'm not even much of a Trekkie. The movies have just left me cold, more and more lately. But this one just ROCKED. VERY fun. Urban IS Bones. And Pine does a fantastic Kirk, without pantomiming Shatner. The whole movie just felt perfectly cast. The action had me on the edge of my seat at times, the tension was very much there, and just tons and tons of energy.

Yes, there were plot holes. But that never stopped a Trek movie before!

I'm hoping JJ Abrams takes over the franchise; if he can keep bringing this kind of entertainment, I'll be a Trek fan for a long, long time.

LOVED THIS MOVIE!

It's a cash cow, JJ is already working on the sequel(2012).

I liked it much better the second time, and that doesn't usually happen with me.

This has to be the best looking Blu-Ray I own.
