Imponderables: Ridin' For A Fall

ok so here's a ponder: why do people feel the unshakable need to be *stubborn*? About anything, deliberately stubborn. i.e. when the trash is full, or when it's been emptied and someone has forgotten to put a new bag in, instead of taking it out or replacing the bag, one just waits, and finds somewhere else to throw things away, or doesn't use disposable stuff, or whatever. especially when someone mentions "hey, there's no bag in the trash can." that's just an example, but applicable to almost any situation where attention is brought to a minor detail that needs to be taken care of, and people deliberately wait, even if it's an inconvenience to them, just to see who'll crack first. Why do we *do* that?

Not dragging for me. I just told my manager I'm switching to a different job in the company. I'm all hopped up on nervousness. She's going to send a note out to the department soon. I should hide.

I've never been hunting, but from what I've been told haggis are insanely difficult to catch anyway. They're about all I'd be able to hunt around here. Small, well hidden and crazy fast... >_>

Semi humorous anecdote. Feel free to laugh at me on this one:
The first week after my wife and I were married, she told me one day that the garbage was full. Mentally, I agreed.
Several hours later, she repeated the observation that the garbage was full. At which point, I mentally made a note that she was still correct.
A little while later, she was angry with me, and I had no idea why...
Of course, she was certain that she had asked me to take out the garbage. I simply never heard the request.
We were in grad school at the time, and the next semester I took a course in linguistics. It saved my marriage.

It is an original from the Western Underground album. That is the great thing about a decent performer. They can make a classic song their own while still giving credit to those who created it. What's better is their ability to put out their own stuff and still have emotion and tradition worthy of being lumped in with more classic songs.
Sorry about the generalization. I was working from memory and the details of the incident were VERY mixed. It was such a strange happening. There were allegations of harassment on the part of the victims, then the killer said they shot first, and the lack of witnesses seemed to be some sort of set up with the amount of people who said they saw all of the parties involved before the incident but not after.
I hope that any sportsmen who encounter people with illicit magazines during a hunt will inform law enforcement as to what they saw. Anyone who is willing to break basic laws are more likely to break others. I am not against extra capacity magazines. But I am against anyone who cannot honor the hunt by abiding by the basic rules set before them. It not only sets hunters in a bad light, it also taints the hunt and dishonors the spirit of the animal.

Solar: LMFAO. was it "Linguistics: how to decipher the female mind"? XD see, I have long since learned that innuendos, hints, and references are not an effective way to communicate. which is why when something needs to be done that I can't take care of at the moment, I say "honey, can you do *xyz* please?" because I know if I just comment on it, he'll just say "yeah, it is, isn't it?"

Kinda. They'll have mixed emotions I'm sure. They're all good people. So, they'll know that it's the best move for me. It still means more work for them though. Since training a new person is work and you know that person won't be as capable for a while. Next year is already lining up to be crazy. So, it's not a good time. Though the past 3 years have all looked crazy. So, I don't think there's ever going to be a good time to leave.
