Let's ponder hunting...

Do you hunt? Why or why not?

NV's going deer hunting soon and we will have lovely yummy deer sausage and some nice roasts:) Happy day:)

I don't hunt because I've got a grocery store that has everything I need. If I did hunt it would only be for food. I think hunting for sport is sick. If you derive pleasure out of killing something just for the sake of killing it then you have psychological issues IMO.

I don't know if I would hunt myself but I think it would be fun to go with. See how it all goes down (no pun was intended until I read it, so i'm keeping it there)

Then of course partake in the Venison. yumm!!!

LOL Zeek that's exactly how psychiatrists separate it out. If it's killing to eat or survive that's one thing, but gaining enjoyment out of death or pain especially of something weaker.. definitely not good

Avery...come visit!! HUGS

I agree with Zeek, but I have one more part to add:
Any activity that starts out with "get up at 4 am and then go stand outside in freezing weather" is unlikely to get my willing participation.

Philosophically, though, I don't have a problem with hunting as long as the hunter intends to consume the kill...
