Morning all... working from home today as the small ones have crippled me. At least I got some time to work with my other students
Here is the conversation I had with one of them... he's 8 and he's not trying to be funny or odd, he's deadly serious

K( pats my stomach) " How do you know there's a baby in there and not a snake"
Me: " we went to the doctor and he took some pictures inside my tummy so we could see it's a baby"
K " But what if the snake was hiding when you took the pictures"
Me " well that might be, but I'm pretty sure it's just a baby"
K " ok but if there's a snake too , will you take pictures and tell us"
Me " sure K"
K" thanks that'd be cool"

that's a little cute but kinda creepy.....where'd he get the snake inside the belly idea?

RF: i just think astrology is meh. horoscopes are bs. people who live their lives by them are bound to develop a twitch of some sort :P

I don't believe in astrology. I'm pretty sure they just keep the predictions vague enough that people who believe in it take the parts that fit their lives and ignore the things that missed the mark.

It even has a psychological term.. fallacy of positive instances. What it means is just what you said that you find the common or correct things in a statement and it leads you to ignore inconsistencies:)

Not to be confused with the Barnum principle ( yes based on PT Barnum)

That is the most awesome kid ever! I want my non-existent kids to be like that.

A cute little monkey, a bear (one of those big brown scary ones), a tiger, a leopard...oh the list goes on. I think a flying monkey would be the top of the list, though. But only if he was potty-trained. I can't deal with any "death from above" situations in my living quarters...

K is a cutie pie and then some and looks like he's found some decent adoptive parents after being in foster care and then moved to a group home 'cause his fosters had 12 kids in a 3 bedroom

See this is why we need to win the lottery so we can all give up this life of ...er crime

Oh happy Friday:)

Weekend ponder.... if you could only see one movie this weekend ( and you'd seen Harry Potter 6 ) what movie would you go see?

Manly answer: Funny People

Unfortunate real answer: 500 Days of Summer

I don't know why but the previews have sucked me in. I wanna see it. Unfortunately/fortunately I don't have a gf and there's no way I'm going to a romantic comedy without one.
