That works for a time but how long can that go on if the relationship gets serious? Eventually marriage will come up and marriage with two households seems a bit ridiculous.

NVG here:

In some cases a two household marriage is for the best. Think of how many folk would still be married if they just spent a little less time together.

Well hmmm are you trying to tell me something??...giggle

Mostly I think more marriages would last and be better if people spent plenty of time getting to know the person first and really talked out their view of how things should work.

awkward!

I'm really just curious if anyone would be willing to give their pets up for adoption for someone. I think that would be one tough decision.

LOL Zeek... I really sometimes wonder how outsiders respond to NV's and my byplay... like when he does this funny gruff voice and orders me to " make him a sandwich" if they think he's serious or something... giggle

Perish the thought... though there are those people who send their kids away 'cause new SO doesn't like them ( but obivously there is something morally defective and emotionally bankrupt with those people) Your pets are yours to care for and love you don't just give that away...

Yeah I'm just joking about the two house thing. I'm fairly certain that didn't have any implications there. Really I do think it would help some marriages though I don't know what that says about the marriages in the first place.

I totally agree about parents who send their kids away. I can't imagine what they are thinking. To me boarding school isn't one of those let your kids leave the nest type of things. They're still in nest mode. College is a different story. That's spread the wings time.

Definitely Zeek...

ok laughing now about a pelican story. These pelicans at the zoo stole some guys cell phone and were playing with it, floating it around in their pond and such and then, as it often does, the fun got out of hand and one of the birds swallowed it and the keepers had to get it to spit the phone out.
