Movieline has just put up some concept art for the glacially-upcoming live-action Thundercats movie.

Yeah, they're taking a few liberties (the original Pyramid had no connection to the mutants; it was Mumm-Ra's fortress before he enslaved them on Third Earth), but I like the look of this.
(Before you start complaining about how Lion-O looks like a furry, please recall that the original character models were just humans with bodypaint, wearing skimpy tights. Nobody wants to see Cats done as an action movie.)
I'm guessing that the "Third Earth" image is mistitled and is actually Thundera (a technologically-advanced Third Earth would completely upend the point of the series (that the Thundercats, armed only with melee weapons and ingenuity, were the only ones that could stop Mumm-Ra and the mutants.
