i like to read the book first. if i can't then i'll read it after, but I still like to read it regardless. makes me fell like an insider cuz most ppl don't read the books, so they don't know how it *reeally* started :P so much gets left out, it's like you're missing half the story.

a lot of times i don't like the way the book is translated to screen, though ><;;

it is saturday..just barely.

here's a ponder: what do you do when you're hungry, but you don't know what you want to eat?

You wait around a bit until you get hungry enough that you just grab the thing that first comes to mind. Or try and pinpoint what it is that you do want to eat, and find that or just make yourself eat something you have...

Ponder 1: I like to watch the movie without reading the book. Otherwise I'm more distracted by the differences than just enjoying the movie.

Ponder 2: If I don't know what I want to eat then I'm not really hungry.

aw hell the eating indecisiveness always hits me when my stomach's about to implode ><;;

knowing the differences between movie and book don't really detract fro mthe experience for me, unless the movie was REALLY bad and the book was awesome, then i get a little ticked at whoever made it :P

Well it's like iRobot. I hear the movie was no where near as good as the book, but since I didn't know that I just went along for the ride and thought it was pretty good.

With Lord of the Rings it bugged the heck out of me that we almost never see any real magic from Gandalf. I wanted to see him chucking lightning bolts and fireballs and junk. The best we get is him shooting a beam of light at the Nazgul. Laaaaaame. Where the heck was Tom Bombadil anyway? That guy always struck me as the last resort if Sauron returned because the ring's invisibility didn't work with him. Stuff like that detracts from a movie IMO. Did Lord of the Rings need magic or Tom Bombadil...not really but if I know they're missing then it seems broken.

I have to agree that i missed tom bombadil too XD he was so much fun i really wanted to see how he'd pan out on film.

but I mean, the Bourne series movies was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off kilter compared to the books, but the movies were still good. the books were good too, albeit completely different, but the way the books were it would've been near impossible to translate them accurately to the screen.

*off to bar for foodz*

Hmmm maybe I'd actually like the Bourne books. The movies were dumb IMO. I hate the shaky cam can't see what the heck is going on action sequences and the plot is ridiculous. "Hey you know that unkillable super spy? Let's mess with him for funzies. Oh noes he didn't like us messing with him! Kill him! Kill him!! Oh yeah unkillable. &^%#$!"

I definitely don't like shaky cam during action... it's so hard to see what's happening.

Can't really answer ponder 2 as, sadly, I am no longer in control of my eating choices.

EDIT- oh and joy of all joys the A/C is off and will stay off at work... so that'll be super fun
