For the Blu-Ray player purchase : My husband is the techie-geek; I can ask him for his audio/video-phile advice if you are want. He managed to find a Pioneer something or other (hides eyes at ignorance) that was open-boxed for a great price. Which is the only reason I let him buy it.

I don't have Firefly on BluRay (YET), but my Serenity has some extras that the standard versions don't. I geek out on "Picture in Picture" option - watching the cast watch the movie...

Yeah, I really do love the picture in a picture cast commentary. Do you know if it is possible to make the cast commentary take up the TV screen and the movie be the little box.
