Captain is in his quarters. He didn't ask me to tell you all but he's insanely busy with family stuff IRL. He will be posting when he can.

Also remember his character is not for general RP usage, he's supposed to be a bit distant. The story is about the rest of the crew, for now.

Hopefully Shade and Moe and Meshakaha will come around and post in the next couple days so we can get moving even further. Just remember not to have any expectations and stay on your toes and ready for the unexpected. Which could be just about anything.

I hope everything works out well concerning your hubby's job, Shade.

I'll post today some time. I've been feeling a bit useless lately and spent all day yesterday working around the house. Damnit I need to get back out and find another job soon, I've been unemployed for over a year now. Thank Bud(umm inside joke) I have understanding and cool parents... and ofcourse the fact I cook every meal and vacuum, wash dishes and have been doing my own laundry since I was 11 helps a lot.

Also, please if any of you get the chance watch the pilot movie and first episode of Warehouse 13. This show is almost as good as Firefly in my opinion and easily one of my favorite shows already after two weeks. The cast is almost completely perfect and the steampunkesque/retro scifi gadgets and paranormal/crime genre mesh to awesome effect. Better than Eureka... and I love that show.

Anyway, I promise I'll post later today after I get some sleep and then work on my driving skills in the pasture... it's as bad as it sounds... I'll poke the Cap a few times to make sure he's noticed the new posts too.

Hi, all,

Sending positive vibes to all those in stressful states of being at present.

I think I read somewhere on Defiant's guidelines that the idea is for each character to post an average of once weekly?

But we're all at different stages of our sojourn on the planet, with varying real life situations. I think this RP has great potential, and she's just a baby yet, there's plenty of time for growth.

My life's pretty full right now, too. Whatever happened to the "lazy days of summer"?

RPGs tend to move in waves, lots of posts one week, none the next. The great thing about this RP is that the posts are short and sweet. In my other RP, it takes hours (at least for me) to write a post due to all the review and research necessary to keep up with the four single guys who are into sci fi military techno one-upmanship. But they're great writers, so I try to keep my finger in the pie.

Looking forward to everyone's next post. No pressure, let's just have fun with it.

ETA: Anyone here in N.Z.? Hope the earthquake and tsunami didn't affect you.

Crap Brah! I hope so too. I've been in my own little world and hadn't heard about the earthquake and tsunami either.

I'm revving up to work on my post right now. Probably won't be up as soon as I'd hoped, since I'm going to run it by someone before I do it.

I've settled on a color scheme for my Beetle; Classic Brown for the most part, Deep Green Fenders and Dark Navy rims(Just the rims not the hubcap). And a custom designed decal on the back I've been working on, nothing big just an upside-down navy star over three silver bars(Yes it's a Browncoat Beetle!). I've mocked it all up in photoshop, but it's rough and more just for color visualization. I'm still at least a year away from actually getting it stripped down and powder-coated or painted(whichever I can get easiers and cheapest). Also adding gravel gaurds, eyebrows, roof rack, door guards, rainguards and mud flaps... in other words road ready for anything. I'm tempted to add some off-road touches...

Sorry end car rant.

In other news I'm working on a completely new version of the Idents. IF I can get them sorted out I'll make up a Info sheet and post it up at the Ident Thread. I'll post more info on these over there to keep this post shorter.

Back to work on my post.

Hi! I'm still here. Came back from my trip with vertigo, which has made things interesting. Sorry I haven't been posting or chatting. Not really sure what to post IC (or if I even should), but I could probably get a post up tomorrow.

I apologize for cutting your character off like the Yinyang. People kept leaning on me to post Lincoln opening the damned door! Personally I'd have rather they actually bantered a bit more... No worries though.

Post whatever and whenever you like. There's not a set flow to how we get from point to point, anything me and the captain have planned is totally fluid and it's up to you guys to react in whatever way you think your characters should. Events will change and evolve based on where the crew is and how they are interacting. For those of you with familiarity in traditional RPGs, think of it as a GM coming up with ideas and then having to adjust them as his/her players go off on their own and totally stress the rules and patience of said GM. Which is TOTALLY NOT a bad thing at all, it's the whole point.

Did that make sense? If not I'll try again. I'll be hanging out in the chat again tonight, haven't been in there in awhile.
