El: The bunker is just over the next rise.

(the group walks a couple more feet before they hear the sound of a battle happening in the direction of the bunker.)

Lao: looks like the reavers got there before we did.

Claire: Well what are we waiting for?

(They run to the top of the rise and look downhill. The reavers are tearing through the survivors.)

El: how many reavers do you see?

Lao: About 3 dozen.

Claire: We have to help them!

El: don't worry

(El slips a cloth backpack from his back and puts it on the ground in front of him. He starts pulling out pieces of a gun and puts them together.)

Lao: Is that a.....

El: A K7 avenger. Favored weapon of independent's TAC teams. 25 round mag, ridiculous rate of fire, and one of the loudest guns ever made. well, without the silencer attatchment.

El: Ready? lets go!

When you can't run you crawl. When you can't do that...well...you know the rest.

Shiny is startled awake by the dream.
She sits up and wipes the beads of sweat
from her forehead with the top of her sleeve.

She looks over at Terry who's still asleep.
She listens for any sound, Its quite.
She crawls out of the nook of the rocks and looks around, Satisfied She's alone, sits down on a tree stump. Looking all around the hairs on the back of her neck are standing straight, Not sure if it's the dream or the Island. Shiny sigh,. She can hear
Terry snoring from the nook.

Shiny whispers to herself,"so much for trying to lay low for a while."

Shiny, continues to sit, Yawning and taking sips from her water bottle once in awhile.
She decided not to sleep, but wait for the sun to rise. Her eyes start to feel heavy and stingy.

...Also, I can kill you with my brain.

the strange black ship
with black sails, drifts -
towards to the two it sails.

without a wind
the 2 ships sit
with not a breeze nor gale.

as Michael O'Sneary coasts up next to the the ship that SHADOW is in with the one working shuttle from TRANQUILITY,
THE KEEPER throws him a line.
MICHAEL tethers the ship to the shuttle quickly and begins to help SHADOW off the ship and back to safety.

slowly the black ship creeps closer to the 2 crafts.

SHADOW:
"aren't you two coming?"

HUNTER:
"no. this is our home. we will fight for it.
you better leave now."

= a harpoon clanks against the side of the shuttle =

KEEPER:
"GO!"

MICHAEL fires the shuttles engines, and the scarab coasts away from the ship, then lifts off into the air.

SHADOW looks out the window as the shuttle banks to the left and sees the 2 ships on the water - almost like a mirror image of each other.
a white ship with white sails next to a black ship with black sails.
both just sitting on a painted ocean... not moving.

as they fly back to find the grounded TRANQUILITY, they see one of the crash sites of one of the many downed crafts.

SHADOW:
"MICHAEL, mark that area. we need to get back there and salvage parts for TRANQUILITY."

then he falls back asleep:

~ See! see! (I cried) she tacks no more!
Hither to work us weal;
Without a breeze, without a tide,
She steadies with upright keel!

The western wave was all a-flame.
The day was well nigh done!
Almost upon the western wave
Rested the broad bright Sun;
When that strange shape drove suddenly
Betwixt us and the Sun. ~

shiny waits for the sun to come up she grabs her
water and walks over and pokes her head into the nook. "terry! Terry are you awake?!"

No answer, Shiny decides to find his ship on her own. Shiny walks in the direction Terry was taking her. After what seemed like a few hours, Shiny comes upon the Ship. She walks around the ship
she try's to pull the door open it opens just enough
for her to squeeze into the ship.
After a little struggle shiny manages to squeeze herself into the ship ans sits in the pilot seat.
"yup, the things fried." shiny says out loud.

She sits there for a moment, frustrated. she kicks the door in hopes to open it wider.
Once her foot made contact with the door, The seat she was sitting in falls backwards.
Shiny starts laughing as she lays back in the seat looking up at the ships roof.
She trys to move the seat, but it won't budge. "unbelievable!" is the only word she shouts.

after a few minuets of struggling shiny manages to get herself to the front of the ship she wedges herself between the ship and the open door.
the weight from her body opens the door a few more inches which throws shiny off balance
and she falls to the ground face first.
Shiny in disbelief lays there for a second or two. then slowly sits up. She can taste dirt.
she wipes her mouth with the bottom of her shirt.
she doesn't realize her face is covered in dirt.

Shiny stays sitting for a while staring at
the dumb ship she's not in a very good mood.

SHADOW and MICHAEL fly the shuttle back to TRANQUILITY.
from the air SHADOW sees someone walking in the path towards the TRANQUILITY.

"MICHAEL, bring us down between TRANQUILITY and that person."

MICHAEL sets the shuttle down, and the 2 get out of the scarab with weapons drawn.

SHADOW:
"who are you?"

that girl is head strong. i gotta admit that much. problem done went off to the ship or least that's what i'll keep telling my self.

"terry began to walk off in the direction of his ship talking to himslf"

i gotta admit. shiny has a great body. ain't like them sassy girly girls you run into everyday. wonder if i can get her mind set on me. think we can make a good couple. i mean whats this oreo guy got that i ain't got. i mean, he done goes and get himself kilt. man like that can't protect anybody, not that shiny needs protecting. when we get done with the ship maybe i'll sit her down for a drink or two.

"terry finally arrives at the ship. he see's shiny sitting on the ground'

Shiny looks at the ground and picks up a small
rock and throws it. "It doesn't look it. You messed it up pretty good."

Terry getting defensive, "I didn't mess it up! its the gorram ship not my flying that caused me to crash."

Shiny snickers," I'm sure." and throws another rock.She stands up and brushes herself off.

Terry, "I'm a little tired of your attitude towards me, I ain't done nothing to you, except try to help. Are you like this with everyone?!"

Shiny with an even bigger attitude, " No, Only with people who snore like pigs. If you wanna help, do something about your snoring, maybe I'd be able to get some sleep."

Shiny brushes past Terry.

Terry, "Girl,where are you going now!"

Shiny, spins around and walks up real close to Terry, She looks up at him. "lets get one thing Straight, My names Shiny."

Terry looks down at Shiny, not saying a word just staring back at her.
feeling awkward Shiny breaks eye contact and steps back.

She turns and starts walking.

Terry picks up his napsack and follows behind Shiny.

Shiny Hears Terry walking behind her, she cracks a small smile.

SHADOW looks behind and around the stranger, looking for signs of ambush.
satisfied, he then looks up at the sky...

"it's getting dark, lets get inside."

then, with a grin, SHADOW says:
"come with me if you want to live."

... a reference to an old 'earth that was' movie.

the men go inside TRANQUILITY, and SHADOW 'coms the crew:
"i'm BAAaack. guess who's coming to dinner?
o.k., sorry about all the cliche's.
everyone meet in the galley. we need to all get caught up."

the crew all gather, except for SHINYFRYE, who is out looking for parts to salvage from 1 of the crashed ships.

SHADOW:
"ok, everyone, this here is WASH.
we found him in the jungle. he'll be with us for a spell."
the introductions begin:
"WASH, you've met MICHAEL in the jungle with me,
this is our pilot O2,
my 1st mate KAT,
and the TWINS, STORM and SUMMER.

we also just lost a crew member named OREO in a battle.
he was part of an ALLIANCE experiment that combined reaver DNA with human DNA.
he escaped the ALLIANCE, and became part of my crew.
he will be missed."

*the crew gets very sad and silent*

"where's SHINY?"

SUMMER:
"captain, SHINY left with a man named TERRY to get parts for our ship."

SHADOW:
"great."
