His call for a squirrel genocide came as a report warned that grey squirrels were wreaking havoc in traditional woods and forests.

Greys can be killed with the rat poison warfarin, trapped or shot.

Scottish Natural Heritage launched plans this week to kill thousands of grey squirrels. The creatures will be bludgeoned or shot to stop them spreading northwards.

Hampshire pest controller Ian Woods claims to have killed around 100,000 greys in the last 15 years.

Just thought I'd pick this one out. We're righteously pissed off about this over here. The Police are looking into it, as yet they're not sure if charges should be drawn or not (many of the claims while certainly impolitic, perhaps even immoral, didn't break the rules, so there's no laws broken). However lots of MPs will be standing down over this in the next election, and there's even rumblings of by-elections to get rid of them now. The Cabinet is about to be reshuffled.

But, other countries in Europe, make our MPs at their worst look like saints, and our MPs are paid way less. There's more corruption in the US. Russians pretty much see the level of corruption in British parliament as an unachievable utopia.

British politicians are less corrupt than pretty much any other countries, but the British public is STILL holding them to account, while the French, Italians, Russians, Americans, just turn a blind eye.

Hell, even British MEPs put their counterparts from other nationalities to shame. It's only British MEPs voting for expenses caps and oversight.

That doesn't make Britain 'sux'.
