And about not finding any of the character likable, that's kinda the point, You're not really supposed to like any of them. What it did was take heroes and turn them into regular people instead of idolizing them. It goes into the dark depths of the human psyche to show what kind of people would dress up in costume to fught crime, and the effects of what they've seen and done.

Edit: Yeah, something bad happens to the dogs, but it's by far not the most disturbing scene in that part. If you want msa I'll send you the details and when it happens.

Of course, what they're doing in the scene is pretty graphic and gross anyway, and easily as disturbing as a dog getting hurt.

Actually -- and I know this is a surprise, lol -- I would advise against seeing it at all, especially if you think the pregnancy hormones will make you more sensitive to stuff like dogs getting hurt. A lot of people get hurt in the movie, and not only big bad guys. If you do see it, you should definitely skip the entire sequence that includes the dogs (Zeek -- remember what the dogs are doing when we first see them?). I don't remember what came right before that so you'll know when to step out. Zeek, any thoughts on how she can recognize that sequence before it actually plays out?

I get that, but I still think there are ways to make a movie compelling and cinematic while striping characters of any idolization, or while pointing out that maybe this isn't who we should be idolizing in the first place. But none of that came through, IMO. Instead it was three hours of watching unlikeable people doing pointless things, with no redeeming value whatsoever.

I'm sure the graphic novel had a deeper meaning, a point it was trying to make. The movie seemed to miss that completely.

HUGS Ck see I really am not disturbed by bad things happening to good or bad adults...just the kids and animals as they cannot fend for themselves.

Oh! And I just realized I totally forgot to comment on how horrible the music direction was. It was the worst use of music I've seen in any filmed anything, ever. Seriously, I've seen YouTube videos of puppies with much better use of music than this movie. The music totally took me out of the movie multiple times, and had me thinking "what the fuck? why are they playing that??" more than once.

Next time I go up to the city for work I may have to look that guy up just so I can go kick him in the shins. He needs to be kicked in the shins repeatedly, and blackballed from movies (and TV, games, soup commercials, and YouTube).

I did actually like the opening credits, I thought those were awesomely done, including the music. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there.

I think it's disturbing enough before we see the dogs.

OK here's what happens to them:

The get killed but you don't see them get killed. Later their dead bodies are thrown through windows to scare a bad guy. They aren't all gruesome or anything from what I remember.

It's pretty tough to identify that scene without giving a lot away IMO. You'd pretty much have to say "he's telling the story about the thing you're not supposed to see". Depends on how spoiler free MsA likes to be.

Yeah, "bad things happening to kids and animals" is pretty much the name of that scene. If Zeek or Zero can give you clues as to when to leave the theater and how long to stay out, listen to them. Otherwise I'd say just skip it entirely (but obviously I've made my opinions pretty clear already, lol).
