I saw Chuck. Fun, but television. It's get smart, almost. It needs to be a snappy comeback every 20 seconds. Drop the pretense of meaningful relationships.

Heroes is awesome, I think it's excellently constructed, and I don't care for superheroes, and I'm only watching the last season, and I hate television, people might be underrating it, but I have to dig up earlier eps.

I'm getting a definite nod towards burn notice here.

i watched one ep of fringe, it would take a lot of pushing to get me to watch another. I was a real x-files fan, and it's not that fringe doesn't live up to it, it's that fringe is just television. Dollhouse sadly is turning out to be just television as well.

My only reservation on heroes is the whole unity thing they have going on. I get that there used to be more strife. strife is good.

i'm less into comedy not because i like it but because i find it unfunny. SNL, Daily show and colbert are funny to some extent in decreasing order, but it's been a long time since i saw a genuinely funny show. they get too caught up in soap opera, as do the action shows. I'll give burn notice a spin. I'm debating giving chuck a second chance. Heroes definitely has me hooked. I like all the characters and I know who they are. I think if it were my show i would shed a little less light into the shadows.

We talking best shows, or shows that are better than Dollhouse? (Because that second list is going to get really long really fast, I'm sorry to say).

My favorites include (not in any order) THE OFFICE, SUPERNATURAL, CHUCK, PRISON BREAK (increasingly outrageous but still fun), LOST, and the animated CLONE WARS.

Sorry, but I'll watch all of those before Dollhouse, and I gave up on SCC earlier this season.

Dollhouse hasn't grabbed me yet. Chances are, it never will, because I doubt Fox is going to give it much longer to find an audience.

DT - Dig up the FIRST season of Heroes. I think you'll be intrigued. Last season was pretty awful, honestly. This season started out kinda iffy (Heroes: Villains), but since the holiday break they've come back fairly strong.

The only reason the second season of heroes sucked is because they wanted to give it a resolution for the writer's strike. If they had been able to follow the original idea,

then it would have been much more interesting and more like the first season. Honestly, season 2 was more like a half of a season than anything else.

Clone Wars - great show, breathtaking in HD.

Battlestar Galactica - the naysayers may disagree but it has come back strong in season 4.

Rescue Me - not sci-fi and it isn't back yet but it will be very soon...after a 3 year hiatus...at least it seems that way to me.

Best Sci-fi for me is:

Fringe, hands down. I admit that some of the eps didn't quite deliver, but overall they're solid and have me coming back for more. John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop is one of the top five characters on TV today; and next to Jayne Cobb, one of the most fun.

Chuck: I don't consider this show sci-fi, but I've caught several eps and I'm digging it. I catch the ones I miss on Hulu.

Comedy:

Big Bang Theory: The development of the characters is what drives this show that is fast becoming one of my favs. I set aside my Mondays between 8 - 9 p.m. for this one and the next show I'm about to mention..........

How I Met Your Mother: The premise, the characters, the stories and the writing. There are 2 actors that drive that show: NPH (Our very own Dr. H) and Jason Segel, who plays Marshall (Allyson Hanigan's TV husband) both are Hi-larious.

30 Rock: Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. Not all their eps are gems, but even the bad ones make you chuckle.

The Office: One of the best ensemble casts on TV today. Brillantly written and almost never disappoints.

Special Mention:

Dollhouse: It's too early to tell just where this show is going. For one thing, I believe Fox has had their hand in the cookie jar far too much, which, for me, spells trouble (sounds familiar don't it. Joss should really consider HBO). So I want to give it a chance. The way things have transpired with this show is so "Deja Vu" it's scary.

Lie To Me: First, I really like Tim Roth in this new Fox series. I like the premise and it's funny without being asinine. Catch the pilot ep on Hulu and you'll see that it's quite entertaining. What I particularly like is how they make the show current by including the mannerisms of celebs when they presumably lie. You have to see it to understand what I mean (you'll get a chuckle out of it). This is a show to watch, you will not be bored as you try to figure out who's lying.

These are the shows that I make time for.

Wow some of you have long lists of television shows. I own a TV and it is turned on sometimes as background noise while I surf the internet, but when I want to actually watch television I just go to hulu and watch the shows I want to watch there. I never really got into Heroes because I started watching it in season 2 on hulu and it seemed pretty lame at the time. Lots of people told me that to really appreciate the show I had to go back to season 1, but they don't have season 1 on hulu, and I don't know if they show it on TV anymore.

I have a sister that watches Burn Notice and loves it. May need to check it out.

Yeah, we just cancelled our cable TV feed and watch everything we care to watch on Hulu, Netflix or the network sites. Saved $25 a month, plus quite a bit of time saved.
