After watching the entire first season and feeling much love for each episode. I kept feeling the family vibe and outside the normal society feel of the team kinda reminded me of the Mal and the gang.

I mean can you imagine the motley gang running round the Verse. Using their skills to steal from the Lords and Slavers to help out the less fortunate on the outer Rim.

I can picture it now.

I understand what you mean.

I was brought to the show by Gina Bellman, LOVED her on the old British comedy Coupling. The show's...eh, it's ok, I don't like it quite as much as you seem to. The writing gets kinda goofy at times.
