I was thinking about previous commanders and soilders we have head on Sci-fi and I got to wondering.

The Alliance and Browncoats represent two differnt, but not so simple Ideals.

Alliance
- Order, but with an iron fist
- The practice of Might makes right.
- Concept of the Elite
-A strange form of unity

Independents
- Each to his own, isolated
- Relying on yourslelf and yours.
- Different rules for different planets kind of thing.

So...

Alliance or Independents

Captain Siso - Alliance / order
Captain Picard - Alliance/ Order
Captain Kirk - Independents / freedom
Tyr - Alliance /better odds of survival
Teal'c - Indepedents / freedom

etc ... you get the drift

Born in 1977 Auckland New Zealand I just came across the briallance that is Firefly just recently.
I am an avid fan of Angel and an avatar for Gunn, poor guy needs all the help he can get.
Originally thought the whole western in space was a bit naft till got seduced by the concept.

Joss Whedon is a god of ideas.

Big fan of Book and think Jayne is a manly name and if I dont stop saying Shiny I think I may be put away for the saftey of all.

Personal thoughts, where all doomed, ice planets as a desert is gorram stupid, if its fixed, mess with it, Jubal Early the Spike of Firefly and once bitten twice shy and twice bitten and you have a fetish.
