Odd statement. You applaud them for not following the books, then critisize the Potter movies... for not following the books. Oh, and none of the Potter movies have been under 2 hours, much less 90 minutes.

And yeah, the series ignores huge chunks of the books, even doing things that makes events in later books impossible.

As for the series, I enjoy it more when I try not to think of it in terms of the books. It's not as fun as Xena or Hercules, but it does fill a void left vacant when those series went off the air.\

It certainly isn't as fun Xena, and Hercules. More along the lines of first run syndicated shows of the past few years like The Lost World, or Beastmaster. It's still a fun watch though.

I am sorry for my comments towards the Harry Potter movies seeming like condemnation. That was not what the intention of my comments, and they were rather meant to illustrate a point that the Harry Potter stories were made on a medium which do not have to fit within a certain time period, but the Legend of the Seeker stories do have to fit in a certain time period. I am very sorry for not stating my intent eloquently.

I see that the Harry Potter movies were all over 90 minutes, but my point was if you see my examples below that the producers and directors of the Harry Potter movies actually made the length of their movies shorter as the size of the books grew larger.

152 min, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

161 min, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

141 min, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

150 min, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

138 min, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
