Haven't seen any talk about this incredibly funny show around here so here it is. For anyone who doesn't mind characters bereft of morality this show is for you.
Set in Philly, the story centers on a group of friends/family that operate a local bar. The cast is made up of relative unknowns(until Danny Devito shows up) and three of the actors also write/produce episodes. Each week we find "The Gang" getting themselves into situations which display how self-centered and myopic they are.
It is amazing to me that this series has been around since 2005 yet very few people seem to know of it. For any of you interested it airs Thursdays on FX from 10-11pm. Enjoy!
Edit: the first 17 episodes from 2005-2006 were released about a month ago priced between $20-25. Believe me when I say it is money well spent.

Lord of the Rings - Fellowship question

Introduced to sci-fi by my father via Star Trek reruns and was instantly hooked. After seeing Star Wars in '77 there was no going back.
Truly discovered reading in junior high. Mostly sci-fi/fantasy, leaning towards the latter. Used to read comics mostly X-men still have some of them boxed away.
Grudgingly introduced to the Whedonverse by a co-worker who loves Buffy; I misjudged the show based on the awful movie. Quickly became one of my favorites. Not completely up to speed on Angel but did see most of the last 3 seasons. Discovered Firefly in the middle of last year and snatched up the box set ASAFP. Now there is no going back.
