Obama's trillion , and the subsequent $$ we'll spend establishing the Socialist Utopia state has what to do w/ Iraq again?
It is not those who use the term "Islamo-Fascism" who are sullying the name of Islam; it is the Islamo-Fascists. - Dennis Prager
A concern of the GOP is that the people aren't informed enough to understand their policies, while a fear of the Dems is that the people WILL understand.

No partisan crap here, eh AURumpus?
BTW, the money is supposed to jerk the economy into motion, not create a "utopia", but jerks such as you are being here will want to paint it differently, I'll grant you.

It's the price, plus interest and penalties, of Bush's policy of neglecting everything here at home while he went off chasing ghosts overseas - and borrowed every penny to do it, all while cutting taxes, increasing spending, increasing the size of the government (how's that for "conservative"?), increasing bureaucracy, and putting us massively in debt. Now those bills have come due, and the choice is to either renege on them, or try to inject some capital into the system to keep the gears grinding along.

Rapo, the problem is that the catastrophe has ALREADY OCURRED, and it's been occurring for the past three years. We kept trying to tell you that the economy was NOT "on fire" but you wouldn't listen because you wanted Bush to get the credit. But now that everything is unraveling, you're trying to shift the blame:
1) The 2000 recession was Clinton's fault due to the technology bubble.
2) The so-called "on fire " economy was to Bush's credit, but
3) The collapse of the housing bubble is the Dems fault (even tho Bush was in office and Dems weren't even a majority!)
Don't you see how.... twisted... that is? If Clinton's actions had a follow-on effect of a a year or two, don't you think Bush's policies would have the same kind of follow-on effect, which Obama now has to deal with?
I thought your portrayal of the Dem/Repub staircase duel was interesting, though. I'm PRESUMING that the point where you disagree with both parties is deficit spending. Am I right?

Signy, you just don't get it at all. Clinton's actions had a follow-on effect in that the dot-com bubble burst and Bush inherited a recession, and 9/11 happened solely because of Clinton's policies, since Bush never did ANYTHING about terrorism in his first 9 months in office. So all that was Clinton's doing.
Now, where you're going off the rails is in thinking that Bush would have any kind of follow-on effect. Don't you see? Bush was on his way out - he was term-limited, and it was a sure bet that Dick Cheney wasn't going to run! So because of all that, there was a two-year LEAD-ON effect because it was known that Bush the Great and Wonderful wouldn't be around to save our asses. As a result of that "lead-on" effect, things started truly going to shit two years before Bush could skedaddle and mosey his way out the door.
Does that clear up AuLapdog's view of reality for you?
Oh, and the deficit spending? Yes, Lapdog has a huge problem with deficit spending, UNLESS it's money being spent on needless and wasteful wars. War is NEVER a bad investment in RappyLand™.

Oddly, this means nothing to me.
Did I fail a pop-culture test or something?

The 2000 recession wasn't Bush's fault, that's for sure.
The economy was ' on fire' , compared to this. 6 yrs of growth, 2+yrs of sub 5% unemployment, the Dow at 14,000+....... to deny it is to wallow in complete and utter partisan bullshit.
The collapse of the housing bubble is indeed the Dems fault, as the slim margin the GOP had wasn't enough to override the Dems' ability to block any reform the GOP attempted. It's well documented, if not overly publicized, because the media is in the tank for the Dems.

Lemme just put it clean and clear for the rightwingnuts.
WE TOLD YOU SO.
Not just about the economic fallout and resultant lunacy of spending...
But personally, I told you, repeatedly, how this was gonna go IN EXCRUICIATING DETAIL, months and months before the election - which you starry eyed morons brushed off and considered a total republican slam dunk all the way because you are THAT far divorced from any reality outside your little pin heads.
And then I told you how it would go AFTER that, again in detail, and again you brushed it off - and you MIGHT just recall that all the while I was telling you that if you did NOT have the sense to reach across the aisle and prevent it, I would have neither pity nor mercy on you when this came to pass, even if it went to the extreme of your party facing lynchings by pissed off americans, yes ?
You had your chance, and what goes around comes around - the republican party and it's hangers-on, did everything in their power to level scorn, hatred and popular/political damage on the democrats, but like the cowardly little tory/federalist/fascist quisling milquetoasts they really are, wanna scream and cry like little bitches when some well-deserved and overdue smackdown comes back around the karma wheel ?
That's almost as funny as hearing Rappy claim to be a libertarian, BWAAAHAHAHAHA.
And all the while pissing and whining that the democrats y'all were kickin in the teeth should suck it up and get with the program, well, if it was good enough for them, it's good enough for you, and maybe you can crawl your sleazy way across the aisle, leaving that trail of slime Bush and company crapped all over you as an example, and get with the program yourselves, since it's no more (or less!) idiotic than the bullshit your own party came up with, and now they find themselves on the OTHER end of the threshing machine THEY built.
Good job, ya fuckin morons!
Now all the election rigging, political prosecutions, media manipulation and intelligence digging of opposition candidates, and the machinery and infrastructure to do it on a wholesale scale rests in THEIR hands, and just like I TOLD YOU WOULD HAPPEN, instead of dismantling it, they're gonna use it on YOU!
Ain't Karma a bitch, talk about hoisted on your own petard, eh ?
This is me, on my high horse, taking a whizz off the side onto you purile jackasses who don't even have the sense to realize their own blind partisan cheerleading set us up for these very abuses even though they were repeatedly told in advance that this would be the end result.
And here we are, and just like I told you, you'll recieve neither pity nor mercy from me, since your own blind partisanship makes you useless as allies given that you would support the same and worse idiocies if they came from another party, and would do it without even blinking.
This is really my only consolation, as you've tied that boat anchor around MY ankles too, so watching you squirm as you realize you're first down the drain is about the only enjoyment I can get out of this, and I damned well mean to!
