but it's no problem in waiting several days to sign the Enormulus Bill. Doom and gloom, rush rush to get this bill finished, or else the economy may collapse!!

Or, more accuratly, Princess Pelosi can make her dinner date in Italy, on her personal HairForce One airliner.

Bills can be signed anywhere, at any time. So why all this fuss and hooplah in ramming this bill down our throats, before anyone had a chance to READ the god damn thing? Oh, just so Obama could wait until he got to Colorado and put on a big staged event, you say ?

The more time this bill remained in the public eye, the less and less the citizens cared for it. " Sunshine is the best disinfectant", but the cover of night is what the Dems sought, and for good reason. This bill was presented to Congress at 11PM, and then signed the next day! Getting the dirty deed done was job one for the sinister Democrats, and even 7 of them in the House saw how horrific this bill was.

Folks, you've been had.

It is not those who use the term "Islamo-Fascism" who are sullying the name of Islam; it is the Islamo-Fascists. - Dennis Prager

A concern of the GOP is that the people aren't informed enough to understand their policies, while a fear of the Dems is that the people WILL understand.

To put it in the simplest terms possible, so that MAYBE you'll be able to follow along...

We won, you lost. Deal with it.

Seems like *someone* here used to just love pointing that out during the last presidency...

Auraptor, give it up. Kwicko's right, we lost. We lost a lot more than the election, we lost the moral, ethical, and organizational necessities to ever win again. Don't fret, somewhere in Santa Rosa is a pod with your name on it. All you need to do is fall asleep, and when you wake up you'll feel much better about things.

Delays only give the opposition more time to find ways to.... delay. If you can bullrush a bill through - especially one this large and with so many things sticking out to argue about - then you have a chance.
Otherwise, gridlock, quicksand, and the reps - as can be seen on this site - will just jabber jabber jabber and nothing will get done.

No problem you say! Let's talk more! Let's take 6 months to decide what needs to be done! Everything will wait for us.

Jongs, that's a bit too much doom-n-gloom even for me! Hopefully you're just being melodramatic and silly. ;)

You guys lost this round. Nothing's over. Retreat, regroup, reform, and come back stronger and better, and you'll win another election down the road. Of that you can be sure. After all, we're Democrats; it's not like we ever get it together for very long...

" Nothing " would be better than the eternal debt and waste of $$ we're condeming ourselves with the passing of this bill.

He's right, they won, we lost.

I think that it is incumbant on us to follow the will of the American people and support this stimulas despite our concern that it is too much, doesn't really stimulate anything, its bad for the country, bad for the world, and will result in needless expense and suffering.

After all...after the 2004 election all opposition to President Bush and the the Iraq war just went away. I was overwhelmed by the cheering Bush and his war policy recieved right up to the day he left office and nobody was cheering louder then the left...who were leading by example because they recognized that they had lost, we had won, so they needed to show their support. And its not just on that one issue...even now the liberals are leading the way with supporting the ban on gay marriage in California...because they lost and we won.

We need to follow their good example.

Come on, it's what Bush was doing, it's what McCain would have done, yet it gets special yelping from you just cause it's the Dems doing something dumb. Really. This is GOVERNMENT we're talking about here. Leave out the melodramatic tone & discuss the negative ramifications, and I'm with ya.
