The terrorists attacks aren't an issue, because after 9/11, we did something about it that Clinton wasn't willing to do. Good for W. He was the recipient of Clinton's inaction, as Obama is the recipient of W's positive action on the war on Islamo-fascism.
But changing the topic is what I'd expect from an Obamaphile.
Dow drops nearly 300 pts on the day the GREAT ONE signs his Enormulus Bill.
It is not those who use the term "Islamo-Fascism" who are sullying the name of Islam; it is the Islamo-Fascists. - Dennis Prager
A concern of the GOP is that the people aren't informed enough to understand their policies, while a fear of the Dems is that the people WILL understand.

They are out there marching, rallying, protesting, going door-to-door registering new voters, etc etc, but you never see Republicans doing anything like that. They have the media in their hip pocket. They have all the college campuses singing their songs too. They pander to all the different ethnic groups and cultural special interest groups. So tell me, how ya ever going to beat that?
Jong, it's not as bad as it looks, we just had the wrong candidate at the wrong time in history. If you look at the election result stats, there are some encouraging signs. We were all told that a vast majority of young people would support Obama, and while he did rack up good numbers (66%Obama, 53%McCain) they are hardly insermountable in the future. Its big losses like this one that causes power to shift in the Republican Party and 4 years from now there will be new faces on the Party and a more conservative Presidential candidate.

Cites, please? What's this about a $30 million dollar mouse?

And if you think we're done w/ " stimulus " bills, guess again. We're gonna be doing this all over again NEXT year too!
You mean like those "emergency funding" bills that kept getting thrown in to fund the Iraq War? Every year it seemed like *someone* forgot that we had a war going on, as if Bush just woke up one morning, looked at the paper (hah - fat chance of that, eh?), and freaked right the fuck out. "What th'? There's a war goin' on, Condee! We need to get more money from the Congress to fight this thing. Heh-heh. Quick, get me my doin'-stuff pants!"

Talk about a pet project. A tiny mouse with the longtime backing of a political giant may soon reap the benefits of the economic-stimulus package.
Lawmakers and administration officials divulged Wednesday that the $789 billion economic stimulus bill being finalized behind closed doors in Congress includes $30 million for wetlands restoration that the Obama administration intends to spend in the San Francisco Bay Area to protect, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi represents the city of San Francisco and has previously championed preserving the mouse's habitat in the Bay Area.
The revelation immediately became a political football, as Republicans accused Democrats of reneging on a promise to keep so-called earmarks that fund lawmakers' favorite projects out of the legislation. Democrats, including Mrs. Pelosi, countered that the accusations were fabricated.

Ya know, I mentioned in the last few years that the Iraq War was going to have a catastrophic price tag for America, something on the order of three to six trillion dollars. At the time, I was told that I was crazy, that those numbers were inflated and bogus, and no way would we spend that kind of money over there. Only I never said we were going to spend it over there...
Now here we are... About a trillion blown on Iraq so far, Bush blew about another trillion on his way out the door, and Obama's in the middle of blowing another trillion today. That's three trillion, and it ain't over yet. We've got thousands of veterans who are going to need VERY expensive care for the rest of their lives - or you can just go around saying you support the troops and then vote to cut their medical care funding, which has proven to be pretty popular in the past...
It's not that we blew the money over there - it's that we borrowed it and DIDN'T spend it here, on anything of value or of use. Now those bills are coming due, those chickens are coming home to roost, and people actually seem surprised by it.
There really should be some satisfaction in being able to say I was right, and I told you so, but there's not. There's just hanging my head in disgust that we did all the same old shit again, and really expected it to turn out differently.
Yes, Saddam is gone. Hope it was worth the trillions it cost us.

Can you show me in the bill where the mouse is mentioned? I can't seem to find it.

Obama's dog ate it (btw there's no mouse).
But this is fun speaking of stimulus plans:

stversion=2009021716
Don't have to wait 'til next year.
"GM, Chrysler ask for another $21.6 billion
Automakers say bankruptcy would cost taxpayers more; accelerate job cuts."
So they were "mistakened" in their earlier estimates, funny how that worked, gee no one saw that a comin'
And they keep effectively holding a gun to their workers' jobs, like they are a hostage. "Give us money or we'll blow their brains out and you'll be pulling the trigger."
Can't be good for sales. Who would trust or want one of their cars?
