Thanks much, Gunhand. I'll get to you soon. But first a tidbit: June 1st, The Day of the Popular Eye!

Ebonezer, forgive me if I'm wrong, but you never did give us your birthdate... Thanks for the applause!

Well, Gunhand, you don't need to give a birthday list to me. I'm gettin you ear plugs, for when Neroli sings to you!
June 1st, The Day of the Popular Eye. Marilyn Monroe and Morgan Freeman share your birthday. June 1 people can usually be found either in the public eye or observing the latest modes and trends of society. (Kinda hard to do on a ranch in the desert!) Either way they are taken up with seeing or being seen in a social context. Those born on this day may display an interest in history, but usually for how it sheds light on the present. Indeed they bring all their powers to bear on what is most up-to-date: dressing, talking, reading and studying the state of the art in various fields.
This does not mean that June 1 people are overly social beings. They may appear extroverted, in rare cases exhibitionist, but such an external attitude often masks a personality that is isolated and lonely. Therefore, it is difficult for anyone to really know these unusal people well, although many might think they do. June 1 people are masters at hiding not only their feelings but their deeds as well.
How can you feel lonely and isolated when you have your groupies right here? The first paragraph reminds me of Inara, the second reminds me of Mal. Well, or Jayne. What do you think?

Yay! Thanks Mom. Okay now lemme dissect this thing here...hmmm.
Marilyn Monroe too? Now that I did not know, I knew about Morgan Freeman having the same birthday as me but not her. Not all that keen on her but Mira Sorvino played her very well in that movie a while back. Mmmmm Mira Sorvino...where was I?
History was my major, well one of them so that fits. Seeing and being seen...well I didn't always live on a ranch ya know. Besides even on the ranch I'm pretty damn stylish for a cowboy!
Exhibitionist: check. Well at times, and mostly when I needed beer money in college. Or on foreign beaches...

Masters of hiding who they are and their deeds? Big check, but I'm not at liberty to say more than that about that. Like Zoid said in a post way back when, "I could tell ya but I'd have to kill ya."

So on the past parts, yeah it actually does fit in a lot of ways I can't talk about. That is downright creepifying!
It reminds me of Mal mostly, and like I said I have a personality more like Mal with some Wash mixed in than anything. So it all fits pretty much. And I don't feel isolated 'cause I have all my groupies and my friends here, but there are definately things locked away too. That is downright creepifying on how close it is.
Thanks Mom!

EDIT: Although personalitywise it's Mal, I got a lot of Book about me as well. Well except the religiousity parts.

Wow, so this book isn't hokey, huh? You're right, kinda creepifying! Cool, but creepifying!

Yep, seemed pretty darn close which is funny. And there's nothing wrong with some creepifying, as long as it's a cool sort.

Yeah! We need more confusing clubs around here! I was thinking about it today, and i know, i must seem really anal about it, but it get called a guy too much in real life when someone is standing right in front of me! Short hair does not mean i'm a boy!

My (retired Marine) husband agrees.
