Granted, this sentence could have been written better. But SourceWatch is supported by the 'left-leaning' Center for Media.

CORES is affiliated with Americans for American Energy, headed by Coloradan Jim Sims, who also runs the Western Business Roundtable. Hardly liberal, not even centrist.

As for screwing the poor: "Using federal studies and statistics, The Wilderness Society calculated the natural gas recoverable from the 77 contested parcels would be the equivalent of two days of national consumption. The oil recoverable from those parcels would last 1 hour and 40 minutes at today's consumption rate."

Yeah, that's a mighty big screwing on natural gas (0.5% for one year) and oil (0.02% for one year) they're getting, as opposed to say, the screwing they're getting from every direction in dubya's great economy.
