5 Great TV shows that nobody is watching.....

Hey there Stoweaway thanks for this post!
1. Life - saw 1 ep and liked it but have not watched another since. On your rec' I'm gonna give it a look see (or at least catch it on the web). Okay, who am I kidding.......Christina Hendricks, I'm in.
2. Eli Stone - started watching this show last year and really liked it. Quirky without being super silly with just the right touch of drama. Great show, but my schedule has changed this year so I have to catch it on the web.
3. My Own Worst Enemy - did not appeal to me so I haven't invested any time, but I may give it a look-see.
4. Life on Mars - I watched the opener and loved it, besides I'm a big Harvey Keitel fan (I met him in person once in 1991. He's not tall but still an imposing figure. He's a very shiny person).
5. Pushing Daisies - Perhaps my fav new show from last year. Shame that it's not getting the attention it deserves. The storytelling, the characters, the way it's shot, everything about this show screams hit series. I cannot figure how this show isn't doing better in the ratings - it needs an Emmy!
Special Mentioned: I want you guys, if you haven't already, to check out The Shield on FX, an absolutely great cop show. BTW it's in it's last season.

I've only just started watching Life, but I really like it so far (was pretty much unaware of it last season). The lead actor won me over on Band of Brothers, so I'd pretty much just watch for him, but the rest is good too.
My Own Worst Enemy I kinda like, but it also feels like it's trying waaaay too hard to be Alias (episode structure, character dynamics... they've even used some of the same sets).

Washnwear, the Tidwell/Reese thing, I see that you’re post seems to somewhat agree with those two not matching up. I do feel that scene was totally forced. Not that I don’t like Tidwell, I do, only Reese is such a hottie and would never , ever pull a stunt like kissing the chief ( not unless she’s returned to her drug habit).
With the change of command concerning Robin Weigert, I think the writers of LIFE kinda miss-fired on a future episode. At some time in the future, lets say episode 12.3 of season five Ms Weigert falls for Damian Lewis about the same time Reese starts seeing him as more than just a partner. Crews finds himself caught between the two in a love tryst. The episode could be called “ LIFE DISECTED” or some such, or “Crews headed for a Bruisin” yep there are tons of possibilities.
I like Ted Early, and Adam Arkin plays him so well, but I do believe he’s headed for a fall with Olivia if he tries to pursue things much father.
Anyhoo, Life is a great show and I’m hoping for many more seasons to follow.

life - a great show. Subtle and funny. I like Reese and tidwell, Crews and reese is so predictable real life doesn't work that way.

By way of preface, let me say that I think I missed - or didn't pay proper attention to - one or two eps from Season 1...and missed the first ep of Season 2...so there's likely a hole or two in my "show knowledge". That said, I can see a couple of interesting (to me, anyway) tangents in the Davis/Reese/Crews department, assuming Lt. Davis was still around, of course. One involves things taking a romantic turn between Reese and Davis, and what kind of conflicts, internal and external, might arise for Reese and/or Davis on the topic of fixing Crews' wagon. Aside from what that might - or might not - add to the show, I have socially liberal inclinations and wouldn't mind seeing more portrayal of same-sex couples on TV, etc., with an aim other than - or at least in addition to - titillating the viewing audience. So I guess, in fairness, I should suggest some sort of similar development between...oh, say, Crews and Tidwell. Though I confess I would not find that quite as titillating...

Point taken, but think of how it would affect (effect?) the dynamic between Early and Crews if things went south between Crews Sr. and Olivia and she found comfort in the arms of Ted. But I'm not clear on the tenor of the relationship between Crews Sr. and Olivia ETA(or the one between Crews Sr. and Crews Jr., for that matter) - something I may have missed in the eps I didn't see/wasn't paying attention to.

I haven't seen an update on Pushing Daisies.

Pushing Daisies got a big ratings boost from the folks who decided not to watch the Obama infomercial. Maybe they're waiting to see if that translates into regular viewers. (That's completely my own speculation, btw)

I'll agree about three of the shows. I never miss Pushing Daisies, Life or Eli Stone (and that's the way I'd rank them too).
I watched a couple eps each of My Own Worst Enemy and Life on Mars, but neither appealed to me. The original UK version of LOM is much better.

I LOVE Life. it's so well written, the characters are engaging, and there's none of that " written in to engage people who like obvious plot developments" hoo ha. I just saw the earthquake episode...brilliant. Life on Mars rocks...waiting for Ashes to Ashes. We don't have the other 3 shows in Australia yet...it's really annoying that we have to wait ages to get stuff here, or buy it on DVD at inflated prices. with all the new technology available why is it that we still get some stuff late? And we tend to get a lot of rejected shows as well...actually that's a good thing, as Firefly was in that category over here so I'll stop complaining now.
