Wow, we seem to be doing a fine job of watching shows that get cancelled... This really sucks. Pushing Daisies I could stand to lose; sorry, but it feels like they put more money and effort into the sets than they did the scripts this year. Sad to see it go, but not totally surprised. My Own Worst Enemy was - well, to put it bluntly - its own worst enemy. They had to go all "Heroes" on it and try to screw with our heads instead of just giving us good stories. Note to writers: Not EVERY episode needs to be a cliff-hanger or have a big twist.

Eli Stone - that one cheeses me off. I never expected to like that show, and I don't - I LOVE that show! And as far as HD goes, they do it like nobody else. Every shot is gorgeous.

Dirty Sexy Money is gone, too. Kind of a shame - while not a great show (or even really a good one), it was a guilty pleasure for me. I'd pretty much pay money just to watch Peter Krause read from the phone book. He's that good. Oh well, I've still got my "Lost Room" discs to fall back on...

I love Fringe, I like The Mentalist, and I like Eleventh Hour. Let's see what happens with them. The Mentalist and Eleventh Hour need to get a little weirder and a lot less "police-procedural-ly", but I'm still watching, so they must be doing something right.

Also, if you haven't checked it out yet, have a gander at "Sons of Anarchy" (Hulu.com had it last time I checked). Wow.

We're Browncoats. That's what we do.

Agreed. I'm a Peter Krause fan going back to Sportsnight. He'll bounce back -- he always does.

But you gotta admit that it made for a hilarious awkward moment this week.
Crewes with glitter on his face from his old partner's sister. Reese with the wrong gun.
I couldn't stop laughing. At least they made it funny.

I'll agree I liked Crewes better when he was a little more zen. He threw some zen line this past week and it sounded so "right". But that was the only glimpse I saw of last season.

Oh, hell yeah - those scenes were certainly worth a chuckle or two, and I'd rather watch Life in its current shape than a lot of the tripe that's on the tube. I just hate to see a show get homogenized, if you will, to increase its mass appeal. Like I said earlier, they did it to The John Larroquette Show (mid-'90s) and pretty much killed it for me. If I had never seen its first season I probably would've found it tolerable and outright amusing in spots (it's hard to completely castrate John Larroquette...metaphorically as well as literally, I imagine), but as it was kind of like talking to a beloved cousin who had been very bright right up until the unfortunate and inoperable head injury.

It was like it was over 10 years ago and maybe I oughtta just GET OVER IT when we got here!

Dammit! Are you kidding me? They're axing Eli Stone?!

I LOVE that show! Figures.

I think the Mentalist will be around for a while, it's allegedly (according to CBS's PR, anyway) the #1 new show. I got hooked on that one instantly. I tried to get into Fringe, but it's just trying to be X-files and I just couldn't make myself care enough about that show to keep up with it.
