What precisely does this have to do with Obama or his supporters?

There's gotta be a tasteless joke in there somewhere...

don't be a jackass

that says nothing, nor is there any strong proof that she was personally injured because of the sticker in that article, nor would anybody in the obama campaign condon such an action or knowingly fratrinize with a person who did such a thing,

Let me see, there are over 300 million people in America, and i'l estimate that about a third of them support obama and a third of them support mccain, just to pull a number out of my ass.

How many crazy people do you think we can find on both sides of the aisle in 200 million people?

The Obama campaign has not been inciting hatred, and that is the distinction you should be seeing, as opposed to the palin and Mccain rallies, which seem to have brought out some crazies...

to the point where FINALLY, Mccain had to show some integrity and tell his audience that Obama is a family man, and that he's a decent person.

I commend him for doing so, but its his own campaign that has been feeding it.

You can't say the same for Obama. He hasn't attacked Mccain's patriotism, he hasn't suggested that Mccain doesn't believe in country first, and so on and so on.

Oh. My. Gawd.

FMF, you just made my whole week!

Palin supports the Democrats!

I wonder how much that scarf cost the GOP. S'pose it came from Neiman-Marcus (aka "Needless Markups")?

Mike

What, no catchy sig-line?

Its anecdotal.

It means little in the grand scheme of things, yet serves to illistrate (rightly or wrongly) a concern or issue.

In this case it serves three roles.

First, it plays into the whole 'Barrack America' sentiment. We all recall the textbooks with the Obama Chapter, the kids singing the Obama praise song in school, the uniformed kids praising Obama, Berlin and 'Greek column' moments and so on.

Second, it serves to illistrate the violence and abuse that seems to be so common in this election. Cars with McCain stickers vandalized, Republican poll workers attacked by Democratic Poll workers, kid suspended from school for wearing McCain/Palin shirt, etc.

Third, this happened in western PA, region that Murtha said was full of racist rednecks and that Obama claims is filled with folks clinging to their guns and religeon. In other words a generally conservative blue-collar Democratic region that is suddenly 'in play'. If McCain wins PA, it will be because of western PA.

So right or wrong, this incident plays into those three areas.

an yet there is nothing to link it to Obama or his supporters.

This is just more of the hysteria the RNC is trying to drum up to scare people.

While I abhor what happened to this young lady, there is NOTHING to suggest that this has anything to do with Obama.
