Your'e a real trooper, but the fact remains that no one is listening to any of this. It's just better for all to blame Bush & Republicans. That's the mantra now. Your way requires people to learn about the history of it all, and they don't want to, or can't do that.

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters, Kendrick Meek, et al.....none of those fine statesmen did anything wrong, don'tcha know. Even a video of the Committees' attack against a Fed Regulator accusing him of racism when he questioned unsound practices at Fannie is not cared about. Dem after Dem defending Fannie & Freddie doesn't matter either. Huge Fannie campaign bribes to Dems don't matter a bit. Sweetheart Countrywide loans to Dodd and Biden don't matter. Barney Frank's long-time, well-known sexual relationship with a Fannie Mae Board Member doesn't matter either. Bush & The Dreaded Republicans fucked up America, and that's all anyone hears out there.

Again, it's not me saying this, it's life long Democrats like Jim Cramer and Alec Baldwin.

Alec Baldwin - The, the thing we have to remember, a friend of mine who is very close to the financial community in New York pointed out that Democrats have a lot of the responsibility for this as well. I mean, it was Clinton who killed the Glass-Steagall, and it happened under a Democratic president. Barney Frank and his committee, they, they kept propping up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac saying everything's fine, everything's fine, everything's good. And it was his job to know everything wasn't fine. And Barney Frank let you down and let us down as well.

I check out the Huffington Post once in a while. I've never been to D.U., MoveOn, or whatever KOS is supposed to be.

One by ejecting them from the offices they abused, and the other by political and legal obstruction of anything not in Constitutional Compliance, while solidifying third parties enough to become an actual THREAT to them, which we can then hold over them as a measure to force that compliance, or if necessary, replace them with.

BOTH parties have failed us, and at this point, really do wholly deserve the Lord Vader "You have failed me, for the last time.." treatment.

As you can imagine, anyone clinging to a party that has so totally and abysmally failed in it's duty to protect and obey the constitution isn't exactly on my greeting card list, and to continue that support in light of that being so bloody obvious it hardly needs to be pointed out is an unforgivable act of ignorance and stupidity.

That does NOT mean the other guys are any better, but we break the dominant party first cause they are the greater threat, and pin down the weaker while we fix the goddamn problem by either forcing a purge and reboot, or simply wiping off the slate into the dustbin right next to the Whigs and the Know-Nothings.

But, like I said - first, get the two minutes.

Right now the little boat of american politics is taking on water and sinking fast, so we need to bail it out quick and hard before we worry about setting the course, and thus... anyone pouring water INTO the boat, gets heaved over the rail.

As far as slavery goes, many of the FF knew it to be wrong, but had to face the reality of the time, and what the mind set was of the population. And even poor old Barney Frank is accusing Republicans of racism by their charge against him of gross negligence and complicity in the Fannie Mae meltdown. Just because Fannie Mae gave Senators Dodd and Obama more campaign money than anybody else in politics doesn't matter either...it's all just racist attacks. Frank Raines got $ 90 million from Fannie Mae, and he's Black, so any questioning of that is racism too, can't ya see?

Per Rev Wright, and his US of KKKA screech, those RICH, WHITE PEOPLE! , chickens coming home.......to roost! remarks are beyond reprehensible.

Their campaign slogans aside, it's what they say off stage which concerns me the most.

If that's how you feel, that this kind of talk, and being associated with it in any way, is un-American, then you need to distance yourself RIGHT NOW from that un-American traitor John McCain, who "pals around" with that hatemonger John Hagee, who says New Orleans "got what it deserved" when destroyed by Katrina, refers to the Catholic Church as "the whore of the world", says the Jews deserved the Holocaust, and believes that any city that allows a gay pride parade deserves to be destroyed.

So you, McCane and Sarah Plain really have no moral high ground. It's just more of the same old talking points that have been rehashed ad infinitum.

In no way , what so ever, did McCain EVER " pal around " with John Hagee. That's about the most ridiculous attempt at a comparison as anyone could possibly make. Do I really have to go over all the details again for you ?

The economy was on fire, not too long ago. It absolutely had been when I made that remark, a year or so ago. Not 4 weeks ago, neither party even MENTIONED Fannie or Freddie crisis , on the horizon.

Never said " stockpiles of WMD,...Tikrit, north south, blah blah..." , never said that. Not once.

And the fundamentals that everyone ELSE has the sense to be worried about were so good that the economy just continued to sail along ... except the fundamentals were shaky and the economy crashed. More than a week after John McCain’s endorsement by the anti-Catholic, anti-Semitic pastor John Hagee, the media continues to give the GOP nominee a free pass.

Consider the following pronouncements by Hagee, the man who McCain proudly introduced as an ally last week.

On Jews:

It was the disobedience and rebellion of the Jews, God’s chosen people, to their covenantal responsibility to serve only the one true God, Jehovah, that gave rise to the opposition and persecution that they experienced beginning in Canaan and continuing to this very day.
And:

How utterly repulsive, insulting, and heartbreaking to God for his chosen people to credit idols with bringing blessings he had showered upon the chosen people. Their own rebellion had birthed the seed of anti-Semitism that would arise and bring destruction to them for centuries to come.
On gays:

All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are — were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment. And I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.
Hagee, of course, is also a virulent anti-Catholic, who has suggested that the pope is the anti-Christ, and that Adolf Hitler’s anti-Semitism was the result of being educated at a Catholic school.

One would think that when a leading presidential candidate proudly touts the support of such a figure, the issue would receive close scrutiny from the press. But last week, once McCain assured reporters that, just because Hagee was endorsing him, it didn’t mean he agreed with everything Hagee said, the mainstream media essentially let the matter drop. Chalk another up for the Straight-Talking candidate.

That’s all the more remarkable given the high-profile grilling Barack Obama has received on the subject of Louis Farrakhan. In a recent Democratic debate, Tim Russert asked Obama to reject Farrakhan’s support. And in January, Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen drew attention to the fact that a magazine controlled by Obama’s pastor had given an award to the Nation of Islam founder.

But so far, neither Russert nor anyone else at NBC News has seen fit to press McCain on the subject, and Cohen hasn’t chosen to write about it. And remember, Obama did nothing to solicit Farrakhan’s support, while McCain actively sought Hagee’s and appeared on stage with him.

So, yeah, McCain palled around with him plenty enough. He appeared onstage with Hagee (did Obama appear onstage with Wright?), and he actively sought his endorsement (did Obama solicit Wright's endorsement?). He has never once denounced or rejected Hagee's hate-filled tirades.

That's a whole hell of a lot more "pallin' around" than Obama ever did with Wright, so why the double standard? Why is it different when your guy does it?

Shouldn't it be despicable when ANYONE does it?
