Brazil has also discovered another oil field PREVIOUSLY to the latest find that contains 8 billion barrels of oil.

Now, if ONE OIL TANKER can cause the price to go up, why would the discovery of 33 billion barrels of oil NOT cause the price of crude to decrease by 1/5? Because the MARKET IS FIXED AND YOU ARE GETTING SCREWED. "

Somebody write that down...I think I just won me a Nobel...and to think, I learned everything I need to know about economics from 'A Beutiful Mind', great movie...guy likes math, marries hot woman, goes crazy, and dies in the arena after solving all the world's economic needs and sinking a French frigate.

I note for the record that raising their prices also has the effect of curbing demand allowing market equilibrium to be restored thus resulting in a stablized suppy-demand-price relationship. So in effect the raising of prices is a natural self correction by local market forces. There's another Nobel...I'm gonna need to clear off my shelf (and they have not even seen my poetry, Middle East peace plan, the HIV vaccine I discovered while eating Chocolate Cheerios, and that particle accelorater I built in my basement from my old train set).

Update: It seems that Tennessee Democratic Party chair Chip Forrester remembers that handsome Knoxville mayor and Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Haslam is also the son of Pilot founder "Big" Jim Haslam, and a former Pilot exec himself.

Not news out here; we've gone through all of those except hurricanes, and long since just accepted it's the way it is. I'm just waiting to see how freaked out people will be when we run out of oil...

I know deniers say "that's a long ways off", but that doesn't change that it will happen, and all this price gouging, cartels and being pissed off won't mean shit. To "your" children or your children's children's children...

If anyone cared, THAT might be something to do something about; not gonna change things about the greed of the oil companies, OPEC or the governments any time soon....
