Yeah, ChrisIsAll could kick my a*s, but Finn had me rolling on the floor laughing my a*s off.
So, meet me at high noon... on the dance floor!

The thing to do is get yourself some comfortable practice shoes or jazz shoes and don’t worry about anyone else’s toes. If he’s leading correctly, there shouldn’t be any problem, if he’s not he will when his toes get sore enough.

Do you happen to know if they make steel-toed dress shoes ? (I'm asking on behalf of any dance partner who may be brave enough to show up.)

Oh, that reminds me, anyone who has one of the generic default avatars that would like a customized one, I'd be willing to make avatars for people (just tell me stuff like what you'd like on it, what size, whatever)! I do need help in keeping ya'll straight (the ones with the generic ones with no signature, at any rate)
why try to keep us straight? Just close your eyes and start swinging!

You know, it all started for me back in kindergarten.
Maybe it was all that running around barefoot in summer, or maybe it's my 100% Polish peasant background, but I have really wide feet. I remember my mom talking to the saleswoman at the shoe store (the umpteenth one we'd been to that day trying to find shoes - any shoes - for kindergarten that fit) saying - forget the shoes, I'll take the boxes.
Each autumn was a shoe ordeal, and each autumn I got to pick another pair of saddle shoes. Oh goody. Meanwhile the other girls all got to wear those really shiny pretty patent leather shoes.
Eventually I went to a public school where they let kids wear - sneakers ! (To this day I get the men's wide ones because they fit, whereas even the widest women's ones don't.)
Well, when you can't wear pretty shoes, why wear the pretty dresses ? Fortunately the 60's were also a revolution in clothing style. My sneakers fit right in with what everyone else was wearing.
So, I never really did connect with the shoe thing. Or the fashion thing. Or being traditionally feminine.
Making a virtue out of a necessity: maybe that's how I ended up a scientist in a traditionally male field making really good money. Maybe it was all for the best.

I feel ya, try being my size!
I am just a hair too big for boys shirts, and with shoulders just a bit too wide, and mens shirts just kinda hang on me...
Not to mention I'm cheap, almost never buying clothes cause there's always someone foisting off the stuff their youngest grew out of, which ain't gonna fit no one else, and I will gleefully take, and then wear till it's almost beggars rags.
I was grunge before there was grunge, lol.
My niece gives me crap about it, as do most of the younger folk I deal with, and one of her friends who's gleefully delighted to meet an *adult* Anarchist who well and truly means it, calls it "Salvation Army Chic"...
This from a sorta-goth who can wash her entire closet in only one cycle, mind you.

Kids these days, pffthhh.

May I reminisce?
I had one GREAT dance partner. When we danced, it was like we never touched the floor. People cleared the floor for us (No, not 'cause we were bad!!!
) We flew.
Anyone who dances can't be all bad!
