I think you're right...you should stick with the other threads. Here, you just get people debating politics and social issues. It can get intense sometimes, but that's just because people don't agree on things, and they demonstrate their "passion" here by writing posts that communicate their beliefs.
And RWED is a very exciting place to post too. Where else can you pour your feelings and emotions out, only to have other folks insult you, mock you, call you a troll and an idiot, or compare you to a f'ing steaming pile of go se? It's a good reminder of the realities of life....lots of people, with or without class or character, honest & dis-honest, and they all think differently than you, and some despise you because of your beliefs. What better place to toughen you up to deal with the outside world? And sometimes, if you're lucky, you can learn something or educate someone.

I know they were, Cit - thing is, although the end of the political spectrum is different, the modus operandi is almost exactly the same.
It's the exact same model of the State invading and nitpicking every single aspect of a persons life, private or public, complete with the big lie, artifical atmosphere of fear and hysteria, uber-nationalism, the whole works.
If a car runs you over, in the end does it MATTER whether it hit you from the right side or the left ?
The irony is that the original term, National Socialism, applies far better to the current crop than it did historically.

Apparently the shooter asked to see the party chairman and then capped three rounds at him and split.
I'd be interested to know his motivation, apparently the police ran him down, shot and wounded him, and he is in custody, so maybe we'll find out.
I am very curious, because if the motive was partisan-political, this whole discussion here becomes pretty damned relevant.
