I'm debating filling a friend's yard with balloons this weekend. Any idea where a person would get bird netting to keep balloons from blowing away? Any idea how much it costs in general? *Zeek hopes it's not too expensive*

Ok your best bet is actually a volleyball net ( check with neighbors and such) and it's about $10 for a dozen plain ( non mylar and no decorations on the balloon) balloons filled with helium:)

Started probably 2 years ago when I dog sat for her and TPed the whole apartment throughtout the week. Basically one roll per day :-)

Then of course the backlash after a cat sitting session.

The doggie passed on since then so no key this time but I figure I should still do something.

Other suggestion: Go to a party store and ask about the decorative fish nets for a "typical" kistchy "hawaiian luau". They should be cheap.

here's a ponder: it's amazing how a baby can suddenly mature someone and completely change their attitude.

i just came from a cookout for my cousin (his son is six weeks old and ADORABLE), and unlike the last time we occupied the same space, there was not one disgusted look or snide remark thrown about the whole night. he actually had a smile on his face, and he was so cute holding that baby. amazing. ^_^

Babies change everything...and also they make people very happy. PLus holding babies negate anger...see babies are multi-purpose equipment:)
