No, I'm pretty sure you're the one not getting it here. I specifically stated there WERE problems, and they did need attending to. I keep saying just that, and yet some how, you miss that very clear point. WE AGREE THERE ! But what you're missing, and maybe there was less tabloid junk over there reported than over here ? I cannot say..... but there was a very real hysteria, of sorts, on many fronts concerning the chaos that would befall us all on Y 2K.

Religious folks , telling us how the bible foretold the end of days would commence w/ a Y2K worst case scenario, separatist, anarchist and militia folk, were telling us Clinton administration was building concentration camps,( folks claimed that they'd seen w/ their very own eyes ! ) ... it went on an on... the kook fringe nonsense.
