OOC: Well, the last couple of plots I tried to come up with sort of went nowhere. So I was giving others a chance to do what they'd like to play around with. On the subject of things falling apart the WytchTakers Guide is notoriously ambivalent:

These pithy and decidedly unhelpful comments are generated seemingly at random.
However – some claim that the combination and order of such comments are based
on an arcane mathematical equation which itself is based on the 2nd law of thermodynamics
resulting in a series of self-reducing results.
This is known in the trade as Diminishing Returns.
As a linear expression, (e.g.1 + 1 + 1 = 2 or 1+1+1+1 = 1), the Law of Diminishing returns has been found to be universally applicable to any structure at a quantum level.
The results can easily be perceived –
for example DR governs the structures of civilisation at every point and is the cause of the common complaint;

Balancing against the Law of DR is the perception of time as light.
Relative to humans this means that time appears almost infinite since light travels an unimaginably long way

This is the stabilising effect –
e.g. things fall apart and quickly…?
Not if you go a little further out and wait for the light of the original moment to reach you.
When the original light is perceived the moment happens again and as before.
Thus the ‘falling apart’ is held in a sort of stasis.
The downside of course means that if you unlucky enough to be watching
a crock of shit like Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull –
and on uncomfortable seats to boot –
well, you are actually watching the damn film
FOR ALL TIME.
It is such non pithy and still unhelpful comments which make the WytchTakers guide such a dread tome
that the residents of the Alliance prison moon Alaca-traz
were given library privileges only as a punishment
–
and, if they were really naughty, forced to read aloud.
Fortunately for all concerned –
the very law of Diminishing Returns dictates that the WytchTakers guide
actually disappears from existence before it can be read more than twice in one time period
(say a week, a month, a year - )...
