Oh oh me me me! I noticed. It's one of my few topics of conversation I can throw out there at happy hour tonight. I don't think many other people will care about fantasy poker results from the world series of poker. Hi all...
I have successfully moved over to Burbank, and internship starts monday. Yay.
On the downside, I have no internet for the moment, alas, so until it's fixed I shall post sparsely if at all. Blah I was not expecting this part. At least my roommate is kind enough to let me use his.
And to answer a question on the previous thread... yeah, I am a freshman technically, but because of all those AP classes I took I'll be junior standing once the paperwork goes through on this past quarter. Which is why I can do the internship at all. It's funny because this was never ever a use of AP credits I thought of when I did them. But such is life. :-)

OK but does anyone ( besides me) know why Friday the 13th is supposed to be unlucky??
Well I feel all kinds of productive. So far today I've had a job interview, changed my insurance, gotten a new drivers license and plates for Nevada, ditched AT&T and gotten new cell and better , cheaper service, copied a key, ordered sod to be delivered on Wednesday so we can have a lawn, and started cooking the Friday feast:)

Lol congratulations on doing so much. Myself I went shopping for food and such, so now I can eat. This living-on-your-own business is funkyiful. Dorms don't count, at all. But yeah, one shopping trip. I was going to write in seclusion like a pro, but then I got another shot at the internets (roommate went to Trader Joe's) and now I can play the last episode of Sam N' Max. Oh distractions seem to find me no matter what I do. But then again, I'm on summer vacation for... three days, maybe that's my excuse. :)
And it is a tad ironic that I end up posting more because I have less time online, but that's just the way of it. ;-D

I stopped in at my local coffeeshop / bookstore to get a cup of joe and relax a little before going home. And just like Christmas the proprietor told me the book I ordered came in.
I hold, ever so gently, in my hands "General George Washington: A Military Life".
I am such an avid military student. This is one of the few books I have found that gives the complete history of George Washington's military career. I only discovered its existance a couple of weeks ago.
So what ever interests you may have, I hope you are greeted with a new discovery that brightens your day. Friday the 13th be damned.

It's a Christian hang-up over a pagan thing, I think. (Friday being all about fertility goddesses and all, uptight Christian males get a bit iffy) And the thirteen likewise, good pagan numerology, but (they) equated with Judas, the thirteenth at the table...

Hmm that's not the explaination I've heard. The one I have heard is that the day of the huge assualt and murder took place on Friday the 13th ( which it did) and because Templars and Masons are spread throughout our culture the horror of the day lives on
