, oh, I am not part of the crew, just a traveler seeking passage that the capt'n was nice enough to grant me, even in his time of loss. Capt'n, if I may, we still have not discussed payment. Like, I said before, I have a few interesting things in my possesion for trade.

SHADOW sees a young woman in a leopard kimono, off to the side of where the shindig is.

he walks over to her. she's watching dragonflies and hummingbirds in a garden at the base of the hills. she talks to SHADOW about them until 3 large men come out from behind a ledge and menacingly surround SHADOW.

man 1 [JACK, the leader] - "got a question for ya, how do you feel about giving us your ship?"

SHADOW - " 'bout the same as you findin' a girlfriend with that face of yours... not too good."

man 2 [XAVIER, a huge man] - "why don't you think about it real hard!?" [flexing his arms].

SHADOW - "ok no"

* by now a small crowd is gathering at a safe distance. IRISHANGEL is 1st to approach the confrontation followed by DOCKAT and PATHFINDER.*

"i got your back cap." says IRISH.

man 3 [DAN] * pulls out a large gun behind SHADOW and cocks it *

JACK - "we'll take it by force then, you can't stop us."
[punches SHADOW in the face, breaking his fingers in the process]".

* IRISHANGEL picks up a chair and smashes it over JACKS head *.

* XAVIER moves toward IRISH.*

* KAT says "not again, can't we all get along."*

* DAN fires three times, hitting SHADOW in the back all three times, which makes SHADOW stiffen straight up out of reflex*.

* IRISH gets to DAN as he fires the third shot, grabs his gun and flips him to the ground. XAVIER running right behind IRISH but not in time to stop him.
IRISH pulls out his weapon and cocks the hammer, pointing at XAVIER, then at DAN, holding them in place.
SHADOW pulls out his weapon and trains it on JACK, freezing him.*
SHADOW now realizes that the brown coat that PATHFINDER gave him just saved his life. 1 of its special properties is that it is made from a bullet proof material.*

JACK says "i would have killed you for that ship if your crew wasn't here."

SHADOW says "TRANQUILITY is life, crew is blood."

* the 3 men are escorted away by sensei OJINs security team. *

SHADOW says "now THIS is a shindig"
