Welcome to 平静 TRANQUILITY 平静 [ PART 6 ]

Status Report:

OREO has been killed in the explosion at the slaver camp on Silas 5.

ELBARTO has been severly wounded and is in the infirmary on TRANQUILITY

OREO and DOCKATs mother has been rescued from the asylum there, and is also in the infirmary.

SHINYFRYE and PATHFINDER have located and removed 2 foreign devices from TRANQUILITY:
1. a tracking device [put there by BLACKSPYDER]
2. the navigation override device that OREO put there.

SHADOW has a mysterious brown coat that PATHFINDER has given him with special properties and many hidden pockets.

All are on their way to Aquila to get patched up and have a shindig.

**Kat is completely drained and walks slowly down to the infimary. Might as well check on the living as think about the dead. She walks over to her mother who seems to be sleeping. Her hair is wispy and she is very pale. Her hand is still cold to the touch, despite the coverings**

Kat whispers to her mother: I wonder if you know he's gone? Not the reunion we wanted...I'm so sorry....

**Kat holds her mother's hand for a long while, eyes closed, trying not to think. Eventually Kat stands up and turns to El. He is unconscious and somehow looks younger, almost vulnerable. His face has been cleaned up but there are bruises and swellings all over**

Kat: I guess you saved us, again. I hope it was worth it for you. Seems like all we've done is fight...

**She kisses El briefly on the cheek and then leaves to find out how long it will be til they land. Time is still ticking away..**

CAPTAIN - "PALMER, set us down between the dragonback mountains and ryuu lake.
the MEDLAB team is waiting there to transfer the patients.
its also close to where the shindig will be."

"O2, if you read us, bring us in 'your way' from down there."

"ok all, prepare for some time off."

Shiny wakes up as the ship lands on aquila.
She grabs her chair and sit's outside by the entrance of the ship.

Capt walks up to her and says
"Shiny, you best be getting ready for the shindig Oh also we picked up Irishangle on the way here".

Shiny smiles at capt a new passanger great, This should be fun...

...Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Irish- you face, it bears the look of a sad soul. Forgive me rudeness in asking....why would such a pretty young lady wear such a face?

Irish- its okay child....emotions are complex...one of the only great mysterious left for man to explain.

Okay , energy state's looking beauti-mous...Tranquility's at a range of 1200 km , a tick over 700 nautical miles now...Still hypersonic velocity...She'll go below 5 Mach momentarily...Final entry vector profile is fine...

Velocity now Mach 4 point Niner , and deceleration rate is still green...Energy profile , green...Mach 3.5 , range now 200 Nautical Miles...Mach 2 , altitude 30 kilometers...Engine scrammers show normal supersonic compression...Engine cores show nominal temps and fan speeds , spooling for power-on descent , Tranquility is now subsonic , heat-shedding is nominal , active exchangers showing all green temps...

Nacelles are vectoring normally , cowl flaps are open , Turkey-feathers are constricting for max-thrust on power-descent , auto-hover nominal , final descent profile is nominal , the fires are still burning , fans are still turning...

Landing-gear DEPLOY , Tranquility shows 3 greens for gear extension , squat-switch is engaged for automatic engine-stop sequence...

Might have to wait a a while for that , Captain !

Miss Oshiba slam-dunked a fast-burn rocket shuttle into the shortest strip out here...

They'd had a non-nominal burn prior to ebtry interface , and the rest of their profile went a bit too ballistic...Steeper than nominal entry , the G-loads were out-of-range , and they overstressed the mainspars on her double-deltas...

It's all good , though...everybody walked away from the landing , even though their eyes got a little bugged-in from the descent G-loads...

Along the trip to Aquila:
After making sure the two passengers were stabilized, and
wandering through the ship back to the Cargo Skiff, seeing everyones mood
PathFinder: Finds a comfy place near the coms station in theCargo Skiff

speaking to one of the many mechanical creations in the Cargo Skiff?
What is this, Another signal, now there are two. Seems a small local Coms becon,
The signal from Silas should have stopped, Now that I've located it
as coming from the capt N 's Farm house I can isolate the other,
One of the crew quarters.
Such a Short range signal won't be leaving the ship. Worry about it later,

PathFinder: sorts through the signals recieved from the link Dockat had placed, on Silas 5,
looks like the farm house is broad casting wide open, must have been a cover for a coms
station. DocKat will enjoy this, I'll leave the code intact for her.

At least more so than when our new Passenger spoke to ya.
Please don't mind me coming from behind TRANQUILITY's Landing pad .
Since was a Lad - always had to say "Howdy do"to the Fauna 1st thing
when landing on TeraFirma. Kinda inconvienent at times,
at least I seem to always know where the air locks are when we land.
When you and DocKat get time and to feeling up to it,
would like to check on something.

Might want to have formal introductions of some kind first,
I hear a new Passenger has found lodgings aboard TRANQUILITY.
Have yet had time to make proper introductions myself, all the exciting
Heroics going on and such.

Need to thank OUT2THEBLACK or (O2) For bringing us in so well,
with the extra cargo as well as see about some future arangements
perhaps O2 or the Capt N will have time to introduce our host on AQUILA (SENSEI) DAISUKE OJIN
~Buisness needs doing.~
