I was wearing my Official Serenity Cast Photo T-shirt.

So I explained it is a movie Serenity and a tv series Firefly. Science Fiction. I answered Yes to is it good.

Then I remembered to point to Our Captain and say he was the gynecologist on Desperate Housewives.

You mean the husband? Yes.

SO REMEMBER THAT. Desperate Housewives has like 19 million viewers. People who watch that show remember him. Nathan was a husband/gynecologist on Desperate Housewives. He was Katherine's husband and saved Katherine and Bree in the season finale. He also was a gynecologist in the movie Waitress.

The more people see of our Big Darn Heroes, the more they want to see of our Big Darn Heroes...which leads them back to Firefly/Serenity.

I really hope they have Nathan extras on the Desperate Housewives DVD. Cause we all know how good he is at that.

And if you do run across a Firefly/Serenity fan be sure to mention the new comic book Serenity: Better Days.

Yessiree , that Nate Fillion is a natural gynecologist...Insightful man !

It's a good turn of events for him...Since he's not able to do the 'Space Western' thing lately , at least he's still able to attend to some other folk with their feet in the stirrups...

Kind of has to keep his hand in the business , you know ?

I've also found that people tend to recognize Adam Baldwin from Chuck. I had a buddy that I've been on to watch firefly for years, and he refused until I convinced him that Jayne's character is shockingly similar to Casey's. Another Browncoat now on board, courtesy Chuck!

You know I don't think about people knowing Adam from Chuck because I think of him as the third character in the show and think people don't remember him and that I love and remember the character because well Jayne. So whoo-hoo, it isn't just Firefly/Serenity fans loving Casey on Chuck.

And then there is River I mean Cameron from Terminator.

Would it be reasonable to target our demographic?

Your lady could relate to Nathan in DH.

Guys might better relate to Summer in TTSCC, Adam in Chuck, ID4, My Bodyguard, Jewel in Stargate, Gina in Matrix.

Assuming that the "SciFi" genre has more guys fans...

Can some women speak up about other references which would be more women - related, that it would be more likely that other women would know our BDHs from?

I always find that the opening scene of 'Trash' secures viewers...

The CSI episode with Alan T was on tonight - it's the only CSI epsiode I have never watched all the way through - he's so good, it's just too upsetting to see Wash as a paedo!

Alan Tudyk is in the film "Death at a Funeral." If anyone has seen it, you know it's hilarious, and hitting the girl fan pov thing, he's nude for part of it. He has a really nice behind, I would just like to say... I sold my mom on it on that point, got her to love Alan's acting (and rearview) and that got her to watch Firefly with me.
